Hello, my name is Poppy and it is lovely to meet you. I specialise in creating amazing ceremonies for babies, children and families, with a focus on love, family and life. Whether it is a beautifully crafted naming ceremony, a meaningful adoption celebration or a funeral service for a baby or child, I would be honoured to be your celebrant for your special day.
I would love to work with you and your family to craft a bespoke and unique ceremony, as individual as you. Whatever the occasion, I will be by your side to make an unforgettable ceremony and make memories that you and your family will cherish for years to come.

I believe that every child deserves to be celebrated, and I put children at the heart of everything that I do. My ceremonies are full of warmth and love, with unity, togetherness and family at the centre of everything. Your family is unique and wonderful. You have been on an incredible journey to get to this moment, and it would be my privilege to work with you capture that story in words and create the most perfect celebration for your family.

Congratulations – you’re getting married! I am so excited to hear you are tying the knot. Weddings are all about two people declaring their love and commitment, but also about two families becoming one. I specialise in creating weddings for blended families and couples with children, crafting beautiful ceremonies with children and family at the heart of the ceremony and celebrations. A marriage can mean children gaining siblings and step parents, and a couple becoming a family.
If you are looking for a celebrant to not just marry you, but also celebrate you as a family, then I would love to be your celebrant. Whether you have children together as a couple or from a previous relationship, what better way to celebrate the next stage in your families journey than with a bespoke and personal wedding ceremony. Funerals for Babies & Children – May I offer my sincerest condolences to you at this difficult time. Losing a baby or child is devastating, and I am sorry you are having to say goodbye. I’ll be there to hold space for your grief, and help make the ceremony planning process as easy as possible, while telling your child’s story from a place of love.
Funerals for Bereaved Families – I am so sorry for your loss. I am here to help support your family and children, hold space for your collective grief and create the perfect ceremony for your loved one. It would be a privilege to work with your family to create a ceremony that celebrates your loved ones life, and supports the
family and children through grief. From facilitating memory workshops to creating ceremonies that involve the children, it would be an honour to create a ceremony where everyone can say goodbye.
Baby Loss Memorials – I am so sorry you lost your baby. It is a truly heart-breaking thing to happen. It would be an honour to be your celebrant and work with you to create a personal and bespoke memorial for your baby. Working together we can create something really special that captures the personality, emotion and love of your family, in a way that celebrates and remembers your precious child. I would love to show you all the amazing things we could do to make it special, from planting trees and candle ceremonies, to beautiful poems and and stories to tell your baby how much they are loved and missed.

Baby Naming Ceremony
Poppy helped us celebrate our baby girl’s Naming Ceremony in early September.
From our very first enquiry call over Zoom we knew we were in excellent hands. Poppy is an incredibly kind lady, empathetic and with a real gift for understanding what befits the family she is working with.
She visited us at home twice while planning the ceremony and spent hours getting to know us as a family so she could write the perfect script for the day. Always on the end of the phone to bounce ideas off or help with queries we had about what would work in our garden, we certainly couldn’t have pulled off such a memorable day without her.
On the day, Poppy was the grounded organiser of people that we needed, directing the guests (and us) where we needed to be and when. She spoke beautifully, had thoughtful little touches up her sleeve and the day so perfectly and tastefully introduced Sienna to the world.
We can’t recommend Poppy highly enough, she is so much more than ‘just a celebrant’, we feel as though we’ve gained a friend, too. Thank you, Poppy.
The perfect summer wedding.
Me and my wife are so lucky to have chosen Poppy.
We aren’t religious, spiritual and were not good with public displays of emotion. To be honest we didn’t know how to go about having a ceremony as we’re quite private when it comes to our feelings.
So how to have a wedding with people in attendance? What vows would we have?
How would someone that didn’t know us write such a thing? It all made us feel uncomfortable and a little odd.
Luckily we got Poppy.
After a few meetings online with her expertise, experience and easy demeanour she managed to tailor things perfectly and made our ceremony our very own. It didn’t feel forced or unnatural. Poppy has a real knack of getting to know people and listening to what they say (and what they don’t too.)
We knew writing a ceremony for us wouldn’t be the easiest and she put us a complete ease within the first session we had online. By the 3rd session we were actually looking forwards to it (which we didn’t expect).
Then when the day came we were calm and relaxed and she gave us the best ceremony ever, more importantly she gave us OUR ceremony. It’s was perfect in every way.
Poppy is a superb human being and was delight to have her officiate. She will put you at ease and make your big day yours.
Thank you so much Poppy you’re truly one in a million…hopefully we were too much of a hard one to sum up, you made it all look effortless.

Baby Loss Memorial
Poppy has been wonderful with all that she has contributed to NEL Sands. She did the remembrance at Christmas and the tree walk and was brilliant at planning and communicating everything beforehand.
She kept in regular contact and put so much of the Christmas event together herself ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day.
Her attention to detail and her empathy for each bereaved family made sure everyone felt they were being listened to and supported. We would recommend Poppy to be the Children’s Celebrant she is an incredibly sympathetic communicator and listener.
