Hi, I'm Sam
I am Sam, ‘The Sunshine Celebrant’ and my intention is to inject a little sunshine, a little Joie de vivre, into your ceremony. So, whether you are looking for a Celebrant for your wedding, vow renewal, naming ceremony or a funeral service, I could be the perfect person for you.
With 4 years as a ‘Celebrant’ and bringing with me my background in theatre and creative arts and previous experience in hospitality, retail, and customer service, I can offer you endless hints and tips to make your event wholly individual, sharing both successes and failures to help make your day as perfect as it can be.
Do you want interaction from your family and friends? From inclusion in the vows to some mini ceremonies, we can make everyone feel like important parts of your special occasion.
What's my ceremony style?
I love turning a passion you share into a fun welcome for your guests, having used fishing puns, 80’s song lyrics and even comedy sketches in previous introductions. As the warm up act, I love getting your guests ready to welcome the main attraction, which is of course, you!
Do you want to dress up as Elven warriors, galactic pilots, or historical heroes? No problem. Or would you like a reading from an epic poem or a scene from your favourite movie? This too can be arranged. As long as we put a bit of you into it, that’s great and the more fun the better as far as I am concerned.
And for fans of Star Wars, I can even supply my own lightsaber!!!!

Being a bit of a geek, it is my dream to create a themed wedding ceremony especially for lovers of books and movies.
Do you want a little ‘Game of thrones’, ‘Star Wars’ or ‘Dr Who’ as part of your day? Or like the idea of recreating a literary love story? Then I could be your perfect match.

Funerals
I became a celebrant following the loss of someone very important to me and having to arrange a funeral, so I understand the many tasks you are undergoing whilst trying to organise a funeral. So let me take a little of that weight off your shoulders.
Let me help you to create a fitting send off for your loved one, capturing their essence and all the things that made them so special. I still want to inject a little sunshine into the occasion (although I can’t guarantee the weather!) So, let us ‘celebrate’ their life in the best way possible, adding their favourite music, readings from their favourite authors, or even a comedy sketch!
I love to search out relevant inclusions from service personnel dedications to fun poems about an individuals favourite interests, so I now have a huge collection spanning all sorts of activities, I may have the perfect thing for you!
I will visit you at your home or another convenient location to find out all about your loved one and the style of service you are looking for. I will also happily liaise with your family members and friends to assist with any contributions they are making.
I can write a meaningful tribute to your loved one using your memories and stories and will create the rest of the individual service with your help. I can help with music or poem selection; prayers and blessings and or add some special moments in your service including candle lighting or flower ceremonies if you so wish.
If you are working with a funeral director, I will liaise with them where required to make sure that everything runs smoothly on the day.

My aim is to give you the opportunity to honour your loved one in the way that best suits you, Whether a traditional funeral service, a modern end of life celebration or somewhere in between. Letting you tell their story and say goodbye your way.
I can help with readings poems and music choices and can write a special tribute or eulogy. Together we can create a service that they would be proud of.

I am at a loss for words to express how amazed I am by the incredible outcome of D’s Tribute. It surpassed our expectations in every way possible. I cannot thank you enough for the immense effort and unwavering commitment you poured into this project. Your heartfelt words moved everyone to tears, as they realized the profound impact they had on D’s story. F was overcome with emotion. Initially, I had prepared a few remarks for the Wake, but after hearing your heartfelt tribute, I realised that you had eloquently covered every aspect. The children absolutely love it too! Wedding Ceremony – George + Hannah
Sam did an excellent job as the celebrant at our wedding. She dedicated lots of time and effort to better understood our relationship and how we met.
