Hi, I'm Margrét Gauja
Tófa Travel is a small and corny, family owned company, built upon years of experience. Margrét Gauja and Davíð Arnar are a married couple, parents of three humans, two cats and one dog and the dog’s name is Tófa, which means a lady fox, in Icelandic. Margrét Gauja is a celebrant, a driver guide and a glacier guide. Her husband Davíð is a mountain- and a glacier guide. We provide a wedding service in Iceland like no other and we aim to serve people at the most memorable and important days in their lives. If you only need a celebrant, Margrét Gauja can provide that but if you want a day with out any worried, to be driven around in a white Toyota Land Cruiser or gett married on a glacier, or off the beaten track we can do it all.
What's my ceremony style?
Margrét Gauja is a personal celebrant and that comes threw in her ceremonies. She can do many rituals if requested and is also open for new ones. Her goal is to make the couple cry once and laugh out loud at least 3 times. She is trained for the outdoors in Iceland and loves nothing more than a weeding on a glacier, on top of a mountain, away from the crowds.

Because Margrét Gauja has many years off experience as a celebrant on behalf of the Humanist Association of Iceland (www.sidmennt.is) and also a decade of experience of working as a guide all over Iceland. If needed then her husband Davíð steps in with years of experience as a mountaineer. We love travelling around Iceland and celebrate love at the same time but safety is number one priority for us so we are also very flexible and we always have a plan B, C and D. You will be in good hands on the most important day off your life.
What do I offer?
Weddings
I don’t have an ideal couple, I just love meeting people from all over the world and service them on the most important moments off their lives. I do my best to adapt myself to people´s wishes and work with the couple to plan their special day.
We will drive you, guide you and marry you wherever you want:
A private day tour (from Reykjavík and back, 10-12 hours) 180.000 isk.
A glacier hike to Sólheimajökull: 230.000 isk.
A visit to Katla Ice Cave: 230.000 isk.
A private day tour from Reykjavik to Þórsmörk, operating from June to October – 230.000 isk.
A private day tour to Landmannalaugar (June to October) with other amazing stops on the way, with a hike in Landmannalaugar and a visit to the hot spring – 250.000
A ceremony and a private day tour, picked up in the Southeast of Iceland: 290.000 isk
If there is a ceremony involved, that is paid to Siðmennt separately – 90.000 isk.

If you want a personal and a non religious ceremony full of laughter (and some tears) than Margrét Gauja is your celebrant. If you want to get married off the beaten track and have an adventurous wedding day, the we are here for you. We are experts in Iceland and we will find a way, if that is not optional then we are flexible and full off other ideas.
