Hello, and welcome!
I’m Julie and I am an independent wedding celebrant, ready to get to know you both, to listen to your story, to hear about your vision for your day, and to deliver the most perfect, special, memorable wedding ceremony created especially for you.
As much as you get excited chatting about how you both met, when you fell in love, and where and when the proposal took place, I get excited listening to all the stories that you will tell me, as this is the start of your ‘Love Story’ that I will create for your special day.
There is a quote “Love doesn’t make the world go round, Love is what makes the ride worthwhile” and I will make sure that your journey from start to end is the most memorable you could wish for.

What's my ceremony style?
My style? I absolutely love the ‘rustic’ wedding, but also love a ‘grandeur’ wedding in a stunning venue, I have to admit that I look equally good in wellie boots (if required) as I do in high heels!
I love to ‘think outside the box’ at different and unique ways to add that extra touch to a ceremony, which we may have discussed, or may be a complete surprise! and that comes from the trust that is built up between us both which is really important.
In my spare time, I love arts and crafts, which depending on your ceremony style, I can ‘add’ to make your day even more special. I also love to write poems, whether funny or poignant, but trust me, I will have your loved ones in tears of joy and laughter – oh, and I also supply personalised tissues too!

Naming Ceremonies
What better way to welcome a newborn baby or even babies into your family unit. This is a time to celebrate this new life, and I am full of wonderful ways to create a beautiful naming ceremony just for you! This can be about the name, which may have been passed down the generations, what is the history behind this? Why did you choose the name? Your own personal journey to becoming parents? This is such a magical and memorable time for you all.
It is not only newborns that you may be looking at welcoming into your family unit, you may have the wonderful news that you have adopted a child or children, and would like to make them feel special and part of your family.
I have so many creative ways that I can chat to you about, depending on the child or children, their age, their interests etc., Its so exciting, I cannot wait!

Every ceremony that I create is unique and different, and you may want to include a ‘treasure box’ perhaps to be opened on a special birthday, which everyone has included some words, or an item in. I am a very creative person, and have lots of ideas to share with you!
You have chosen a naming ceremony to celebrate and welcome this person or persons into your family unit, you want it to be special, you want it to be unique, you want it to be memorable…….. I want that too!

Renewal of Vows
I do not have an ideal couple, as every couple has their own unique love story to tell, whether this is 10 years, 25 years or lucky enough to have enjoyed each others company for many more years.
It is always so lovely that the story that I tell at the vow renewal ceremony, is sometimes, one that has not been heard of before, and for the couple to have all their close family and dear friends to witness this with them, is quite frankly, priceless.
The memories that the day will bring will be talked about for a very long time, and all the photo’s and stories that will be told, will live on for generations to be reminded of what a fantastic couple you are.
Whether a wedding ceremony or vow renewal ceremony, the amount of work that is put into creating the script is exactly the same for both. Any additional items that may be chosen for any symbolic rituals is included in my price quoted.

If you are looking at renewing your wedding vows, whether this is 5 years, 10 years or 25 years + I absolutely LOVE these ceremonies, as there is always some brilliant stories to be heard and it really is full of laughter from the minute we meet and start to create your vow renewal script, as there is always so many funny moments that are remembered as we chat. The giggles do not stop, and whether the stories are about the couple themselves, or with family members, it really is a ceremony that is filled with a bucket full of memories of all the years, packed into the ceremony that I will create. I was lucky enough to create a very special vow renewal ceremony, for my own parents, who celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on 7th March 2022….. I absolutely love what I do, and what a memory for me too! xXx
Funerals
Having been a wedding celebrant for a while, I love seeing how my words can make a difference in a big way, so now having qualified as a funeral celebrant, the words that I will write will help to support you and your family in this time of grieving.
Your time will stand still during the mourning period, and your thought process and emotions will be all over the place, which is absolutely understandable. I am here to guide you with warmth and compassion for as long as you need, to take as much of the pressure off you, and to help create a memorable ceremony for everyone involved.
If you are celebrating the life of a loved one, I will gently encourage you to think differently in ways to remember their character, the things they loved, places they liked to visit, music they liked to listen to. Ways to celebrate a life has changed immensely in the last few years, and being a creative person, I always like to ‘think outside the box’ at ways to remember your loved one, for exactly how they were, whether this is at the crematoria, or somewhere more personal to you as a family or friend. I am not limited in where or how, but open to new ways of celebrating a life.
If the way in which a person has passed was more sudden, or of a complex nature, then I will listen and in my own gentle way, talk about ways in which we can create a ceremony that will be best suited to their personality.
A life which has been taken after only a very short time on earth, is extremely difficult to grasp, and I am sympathetic to not only the parents, but maybe siblings who need support in understanding ‘why?’ There are some beautiful and sentimental ways that I can suggest that will help with the healing process.

I am very ‘family orientated’ and having children, grandchildren, and parents who are extremely close in all that we do, I feel that I have the knowledge of how different age gaps think, how they would cope, and how I can help with ways that will make sure the ceremony that I create for your loved one, will come from my heart.

AMAZING!!
Julie was absolutely amazing through the whole process. We were very nervous and she guided us through and offered us reassurance. She made a script that was so personal and the little touches were very special. She made personalised tissues with our names on for our guests and after sent us a beautiful personalised folder with our vows in. She incorporated our dog (who was best man) into the ceremony by leaving a space for him to put his paw print on the certificate and she even provided and ink pad which doesn’t leave ink residue so wouldn’t ruin my dress! I would highly recommend. Thank you so much Julie xxx

Wow, What can I say,
Julie is the kindest and loveliest lady you will ever have the pleasure of talking to. She was the celebrant at our wedding and customised the most beautiful ceremony that had everyone laughing, and in tears.
She was wonderful to work with, holding our hands every step of the way, like a second mother you could say!
What was absolutely amazing was the detail to everything she did, be it the ceremony, or customised tissues for you and your guests, even helping to conduct a Chinese Tea Ceremony for us. She treated everyone and everything with the utmost kindness and respect.

I can’t put it into words how perfect our ceremony was, all thanks to Julie. From the day we contacted her, to the big day, we felt like Julie had always been a close friend to us. We enjoyed meeting over zoom in the first instance and even got to go out for breakfast together where we caught up for hours! It is no wonder Julie does what she does for a living, her speech was flawless, and so meaningful. It’s almost a shame you only get married once (hopefully!)… We’ll just have to keep renewing our vows so we get to book Julie over and over again!! Haha!
