Hi, I'm Katie
Passionate about people, I adore creating and presenting bespoke, tailored wedding ceremonies that tell a couple’s love story in a unique, personal and fun way. I’ve got years of experience as an Independent Celebrant; since 2013 I’ve helped hundreds of happy couples! I’d love to see if we are a good fit for each other and really hope that I can help start your special day off with a bang – so if your wedding, blessing or vow renewal is planned for Kent, the South East or even abroad then let’s talk! Micro ceremonies or elopements are also gaining in popularity – get in touch if you’re interested in keeping things short and sweet!
What's my ceremony style?
I adore that feeling of freedom you only get in the great outdoors, and so do many of my couples. A lot of the ceremonies I perform are completely outside, held in woodland, beautiful gardens, under ancient trees, in marquees or tipis. Stately homes, manor houses, medieval castles and old beamed barns are also favourite places of mine to conduct the personalised ceremonies I create. I’ll dress to suit your chosen theme – most often in a dress to match your colour scheme but a jumpsuit or sequins can be arranged too! I’ve performed alternative weddings in full medieval costume, on stage at a live music venue and even at a retro amusement park. I’d love to hear what you’ve got planned for your special day!

You may have recently seen me conducting one of the weddings on the current series of Married at First Sight! My TV debut was on Episode 2, and my couple were beautiful Morag and Luke, two strangers who had never met before but who had been perfectly matched by the relationship experts!

What do I offer?
Weddings
For so many couples, the choice of a religious or a civil ceremony just isn’t enough! I became an Independent Celebrant especially to cater for those people who want a say in where and how they marry, and importantly, the content of their wedding ceremony. I work with couples who want to have a wedding somewhere unlicensed, like their family home or fully outdoors in a garden or woodland. And I increasingly work with couples who have booked a licenced venue but who want their wedding day to start with a ceremony that reflects their beliefs and personalities.
A large number of my clients are British couples who live abroad and have quietly married to satisfy visa and residency requirements, but who come home to have their English wedding in front of friends and family as well as international clients wanting a destination wedding or UK elopement.

Renewal of Vows
My bespoke Vow Renewal ceremonies vary from intimate, informal gatherings with just close family or something far grander with a huge guest list. You may have had a to make do with a Register Office wedding the first time around, and now’s the time to push the boat! I love creating and performing Vow Renewals and they can be a lot of fun especially if you have children or grandchildren – I’ve lots of ideas to get them involved in the ceremony which I’m sure you’ll love too! Often Vow Renewals coincide with a special date, like your 10th, 25th or 40th Wedding Anniversary. What could be more fun than celebrating your long and happy marriage than hosting a party for everyone you love starting with a beautifully personal vow renewal?

Just wanted to pass on a massive thank you for Saturday!! We had an amazing time and you started our day off just right – thank you so much!! (How emotional was that aisle walk right?! I wasn’t expecting to feel so tearful!) Honestly, the ceremony was just what we wanted, we loved all of it and so many people commented on how nice it was. We even impressed Toby’s other Grandad who before Saturday believed that proper weddings could only take place in churches!! I heard there were a few happy tears too (mostly from the men actually!!)
