Hi, I'm Ronnie
A colourful, fun celebrant who creates unique wedding ceremonies.
I also specialise in distinctive celebration of life funeral ceremonies that reflect the lives of unique and special people.
Every ceremony is different – and you can add beautiful rituals, such as handfasting, jumping the broom or a cocktail ceremony to your wedding – I don’t charge any extra for this – it’s up to you!
I’ve married couples in beautiful venues including Oldwalls, St Fagans Castle, campsites, woodland and even on the beach.
What's my ceremony style?
Yes, I’m colourful but I’m also approachable – anything goes! I relish your ideas, however adventurous, alternative and different from the norm they may be. But just as equally, I love the traditional, too.
I love to create special rituals for you – which might be you making a cocktail during the ceremony, lighting candles, handfasting, etc.
Most of my ceremonies have taken place in unique and stunning locations – including beaches, woodland, back gardens, campsites, farms, in a historic castle and by a lake, complete with dragonflies and nymphs (Oldwalls on the Gower!)
£180 for funerals | £450 for weddings (any ceremony extras, eg handfasting, jumping the broom are included in the price)
My favourite moment was when Charlote and Matthew Crane married at St Fagans Castle, September 2022. Their ceremony was full of love, laughter, fun – and loads of glitter and sequins! In fact, the fabulously-dressed guests entered as if they were walking a catwalk!
Why choose Ronnie?
Nothing will give me more joy than spending your special moments with you.
Your ceremony is in safe hands – I’m an ex-music journalist, writing the stories of interesting people for 20+ years. I love hearing all about you!
My favourite moment at your wedding will be sharing your love story with your best people, who will be enthusiastically cheering you on. Your ceremony with me won’t be ‘stuffy’ or ‘formal’, we will inject some fun and if you like, we will include a special ritual that we have created together, or a reading from one of your close friends or family members. I will get all excited with you – and may even shed a tear when you kiss your bride or groom!
If you are saying goodbye to someone whose vibrant personality touched many lives, then we will celebrate that life in a way that reflects them. I will guide and inspire you.
What do I offer?
You’re probably looking at me because I’m colourful and interesting? Because that means you are also colourful and interesting too. Together we can conjour something that will truly reflect you.
I champion your individualism, enjoy listening to your story, being inspired by you and your uniqueness, and reflecting that in the wedding ceremony I create for you both.
I perform ceremonies in unique and stunning locations – including beaches, woodland, back gardens, campsites, farms, in a historic castle and by a lake, complete with dragonflies and nymphs (that one was at Oldwalls on the Gower!). And it’s not uncommon for guests to include smartly-dressed dogs – and even a llama!
I’m approachable – anything goes! I relish your ideas, however adventurous, alternative and different from the norm they may be.
Full ceremonies with your unique story, vows and rings and any ritual you like is £450 (I don’t charge extra for vow-writing and ritual creating, all ceremony extras are included – I’m not easyjet!)
If you have already done the big entrance and the big ceremony and just want a simple ritual such as handfasting, jumping of the broom or a blending of the sands ceremony (great for couples with step children, to blend the union), outside of the wedding service itself, short ceremonies (ie 10 mins long) are £400
Please note that travel expenses may be charged on ceremonies outside 50 mile radius
Why choose Ronnie for your wedding?
I want to work with you both to design a ceremony as bold, brilliant and beautiful as you are, that is full of energy and celebrates your love.
I love to create special rituals for you – which might involve you making a cocktail during the ceremony, having your guests warm your rings, lighting special candles, handfasting – or something that has never been invented yet, because it is based on you both as individuals.
I’ve created all kinds of ceremonies, from the quite traditional, where there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, to lively, left-of-centre services, where everyone has laughed until it hurt and the fabulous sequin and glitter-clad bridal party entered via a catwalk. If you’d like a bit of tree magic or barefoot on the sand, it’s up to you! I am inspired and open to your ideas!
Unfortunately Weddings And Funerals is not available for Naming Ceremonies.
Renewal of Vows
Doesn’t time pass so fast? It only seems like yesterday when you tied the knot and now, you are looking back at all those bold adventures you have been on together, those loved ones who have come in and out of your lives and perhaps those occasional stormy seas you may have sailed to get to this point.
You are the same young-at-heart couple you were when you got hitched; you are intrepid and energetic, you still love a party and you want to shout your enduring love as loudly as the non-beige way that you originally got married!
Whether you want to shout it from the mountains, beam it at the beach, go grand at a castle or have an intimate and personal party in your back yard with a selection of those you love the most, that is up to you, and I would love make that a reality
Why choose Ronnie for your renewal of vows?
We are all individuals, right? And it is hard to say goodbye to a vibrant, vivacious character. I’d love to listen to the life your loved one led, their characteristics and hear about their hobbies and the things they loved most (however wild) and together we will create an appropriate celebration of their life, whether that is a colourful send off with nods to their special ways, and favourite things in a traditional crematorium setting, or, if their have chosen to have a direct cremation, our celebration of this special life might take place in a unique setting such as the deceased’s favourite beach or mountain, a back garden – or even a pub!
You are saying a very important goodbye to a loved one, and you want an authentic ceremony that truly reflects their life. I am open-minded to your individual needs, whether you’ve chosen a crematorium or graveside internment ceremony or a celebration of life somewhere more unique.
Direct cremations have become really popular, as it means you can have your ceremony in a setting of your choice and say goodbye to your loved one in the individual, bold and bespoke way that they lived their life.
Why choose Ronnie for your funeral?
I like to think outside the box and if your loved one led a cool, creative and colourful life, I would love to hear their one-of-a-kind story, and work with you to create a fitting tribute that might be injected with their sort of humor, and which definitely reflects your loved one as you best remember them.
You might see me as alternative and a bit lively, but I am also compassionate and caring. I’ll hold your hand and hug you – if you need it. I also come armed with tissues! I’m often one of the first people you will speak to after a loved one has died and I like to provide a safe space where you can express your emotions as we talk about the life your loved one

From the first moment we met Ronnie, she put my wife and I at ease and we knew she was the lady we wanted to conduct our ceremony. She was excellent at staying in touch throughout the whole process and nothing was too much trouble for her. She wrote a brilliant ceremony, that was so well received, everyone commented how great she was.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ronnie to anyone, couldn’t of been better. Thanks again
