Hi, I'm Christopher
I am an officially licensed, trained, certified Life-Cycle Celebrant; I graduated from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in 2012. I’m also a Certified Professional Wedding Officiant (CPWO). I’ve been performing hilarious, dignified, meaningful, fun wedding ceremonies (and the occasional memorial service) for couples over the past 11 years, in all kinds of settings and on television. My home bases are New York City and Cincinnati, Ohio, but I officiate for couples all over the country. My ordination with the Universal Brotherhood Movement allows me to solemnize marriages all over the United States. My background in professional acting and writing blends well with this work. I have a BFA in Acting from Boston University and an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University. I’m also a Speaker and Emcee. What's my ceremony style?
I belong to no religion: couples who hire me hold their ceremonies in non-traditional venues (i.e., not churches!). It is very common for me to create ceremonies for couples from different faiths. I love my work: no two weddings are the same, no two couples are the same. My ceremonies are as dignified as anyone would ever want, but I include a lot more humor than anyone ever expects, much to the guests’ relief. While I do occasionally do elopements, I often work with couples on major, elaborate weddings for anywhere from months to over a year ahead of the wedding. I prefer the longer client relationships, but I can also work quickly if you are a procrastinator. Some couples love me so much, they have me serve as Master of Ceremonies for their reception.

What do I offer?
Weddings
Couples who find me are educated, creative, industrious, entrepreneurial, interesting people who want to share their specific story with their guests. They are usually not religious (although their families may be, and we find a way to honor various religions without overwhelming the ceremony). Most of my clients are reasonable, kind people who have won the lottery with finding each other and realize how lucky they are. I, in turn, am lucky and honored to create their weddings.

Not only am I a Celebrant in the European sense, I am an officially licensed, trained, certified Life-Cycle Celebrant; I graduated from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in 2012. I’ve been performing hilarious, dignified, meaningful, powerful, fun wedding ceremonies for couples over the past 7 years, in all kinds of settings and on television.
I am based in New York City, where the world comes to get married, but I also officiate for couples in New Jersey (where most of the world does NOT go to get married), Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, really, anywhere people will pay me to go. My ordination with the Universal Brotherhood Movement allows me to solemnify marriages all over the United States.
