We met Lindy at a Wedding Fair and were looking for an independent (read: not Catholic/not Humanist) celebrant. So we stopped at her booth and chatted with her for less than 2 minutes. In that time, she was able to move me to near tears in a very public space. After we left the fair, I couldn’t stop thinking about the lovely things she had said about couples she’d worked with and the services she’d done. From our first client meeting, it was obvious that she would be able to craft a beautiful, touching and personal service for our wedding. She was also a ton of fun and really easy to talk to. She made an effort to get to know us and even let us add and remove elements to personalize our ceremony. The ceremony itself was PERFECT! The wedding ceremony was this amazing balance of sentimental, personal, joyful, and fun. From the altar, I could hear people laugh and cry – literally. She hit every point and emotion we wanted and then went above and beyond. It was important to us that our ceremony wasn’t religious (because of conflicting religious backgrounds) but that the ceremony held the weight of a religious ceremony. We also wanted it to be fun without being frivolous. It was actually a really enjoyable experience for us and our guests. So many people told us in our guest book that the ceremony was their favorite part of the day. Due to her fun spirit, gift with words, beautiful and comical delivery, all-around great personality and professionalism, I would confidently and enthusiastically recommend Lindy Irving. She is an amazing celebrant!
