Dave arranged to visit us within our home to discuss different template options for the naming day and asked how we would like the day to be. Dave, always put our thoughts and opinions first and ensured it was as personal as we liked. He had a clear understanding as to how we would like the ceremony to be as well as keeping in mind traditional layouts with readings, guardians, photo opportunities etc.My partner and I were very relaxed with the day and wanted to ensure Dave projected a relaxed vibe to our guests. He was very much able to see this through, however always had a professional approach. Dave responded well to emails, text messages and really saw the entire event through from the very first discussion, till a few hours after the naming ceremony to join us in celebrating my little boys 1st birthday. My partner and I were unsure whether to have a christening or naming ceremony as myself and my family have all be christened, whereas my partners family weren’t. This ceremony was spot on with, pleasing us both and ensuring our wants and needs were met. Friends of mine had their children christened within weeks of Buddy’s naming day and mentioned how his ceremony was so special and personal to him, whereas a christening is more centred around your commitment to the faith and god. We preferred and chose this style of ceremony as we really did want it to be a celebration of Buddy, who is he, who he could become and how much we valued his name and where it came from.To finish it off, Dave provided us with a wonderful keepsake of the day. He printed off the script, added photos and bound it together so we could read back at what was said. Buddy also got a certificate with signatures from his guardians. This really meant a lot to us, and gave us the sense of a new traditional commitment to our family.Without a shadow of a doubt, I would recommend Dave Foster to anyone who wanted to have a celebrant. Whether that be for a funeral, naming ceremony or wedding.
