I am incredibly blessed to have Dinah in my life as a beautiful and very special friend whom I have known for many years. I have known her warmth and character and sensational ability to hold space for others first hand, and so her calling to become a Celebrant is a totally natural and well suited vocation. She brings her whole spirit and love to those who are lost in grief. So when I asked her to conduct my Father’s Service of Celebration and Farewell, I knew that everyone in my family would love her too. The moment she arrived at the family home, she enveloped everyone in individual warmth and attention that brought immediate calm and support at a time when emotions and nerves are frayed and exhaustion are overflowing. She has a special aura that surrounds her and lets you feel safe and like you are the only one that matters. For me – and for my Dad too – a non religious service that brought colour and voice to a life long and well lived was the priority. Although he had in his organised way left his own wishes and outline for his farewell, we embellished and decorated his story with our own tributes and memories – Dinah guided and held the space beautifully – giving us each and all confidence to play our part in this to our very best.It is so important for anyone saying farewells, that your celebrant becomes part of your family too – even though for just a short period of transitory time. Dinah does this through her exceptional listening skills which means you will always be heard – and your voice and thoughts taken fully in to account so that when it comes to the day, you know you will have been held fully and your loved one adored to the full too. I believe anyone will feel the same as I and my family did. If you ask Dinah to be part of your life celebration, I promise you, you will feel like an old friend has walked through your door too.Connect with Dinah – and your life and loved ones will be richer for the experience of her stepping in to your world when it matters the most.
