I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you again for yesterday. The service was really lovely. Even though we had read your words beforehand, hearing you speak them made them much more fitting and it felt like you had met Charlie in the flesh not just our version of him. We’ve had loads of messages saying how well you conducted the service and how accurate your eulogy was, with just the right mix of poignancy and humour.
Jim and I are very grateful to you as we start the process of learning to live without Charlie and make the best of life in a way he would approve of and enjoy himself. That doesn’t only mean sitting around in pubs reading the paper!
