Michelle ‘Shelley’ Plews officiated at the funeral service for my father, Terry in March earlier this year. Prior to the service she met with members of our family to discuss Terry’s life and his passing. Shelly was very sensitive and caring, particularly with my mother, Jean and was able to tease out a lot of stories and background information without being intrusive. She provided the family with advance notice of what she planned to say during the service and accepted the minor amendments they proposed. Shelley’s delivery at the service was flawless; all members of the family and Terry’s friends and acquaintances who spoke to me afterwards commented very positively on her contribution. Shelly helped enormously to ensure a difficult day went ahead as well as it could and I’d have no hesitation in recommending her for future engagements as a Celebrant.
