I knew Jess was the right celebrant for us when I met her at a wedding, and saw her in action. She created such a relaxed atmosphere which put everyone at ease, which is perfect, as so many weddings are full of anxious grooms, brides and families. Another reason we went with Jess is because we knew we wanted an independent celebrant, and not have the cut and paste style of wedding that is so common with registrars in civil ceremonies.
On planning our wedding, Jess came round for a cuppa and we told her our story. It felt as if we’d known Jess for a long time! She listened to us with genuine interest.
We had the best day. So many of our guests said they felt so relaxed and even my uncle who hates weddings said he liked it! We felt especially happy as we felt quite strongly about what was and what wasn’t in our wedding ceremony, and even the night before I could text Jess and add a small change. Nothing felt too silly to ask. Jess wrote and performed a wonderful ceremony and it felt really bespoke and fitted us perfectly.
