Hi, I'm Lynda
I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant, Ceremonies by Lynda Royle. I support and guide friends and family of the person who has died by creating and delivering a funeral ceremony that honours the life and wishes of their loved one. I also help people preplan their funeral ceremony including Celebration of Life ceremonies.
I will meet with you to learn about the life and funeral choices of your love one. I craft a unique ceremony that upholds your wishes and preferences and those of your loved one, featuring readings, music, poems, singing, memory boards, visual tributes and a eulogy. I conduct your loved one’s ceremony at their preferred location and time. Throughout the process I will give you support and advice. I include any non-religious, semi-religious, spiritual or cultural aspects in their ceremony (if desired). I also liaise with the Funeral Director (if you have chosen to have one) regarding content and order of the ceremony.
What's my ceremony style?
Would a traditional funeral ceremony that follows the customs and rituals of the culture of the person who has died be the ideal funeral ceremony option. Maybe a more unconventional and creative ceremony be more fitting to reflect their interests, passions or quirks. Alternatively, a funeral ceremony that is entirely different and original that celebrates their life and legacy in a unique way.
Whatever the funeral style, I will always help you create a bespoke tribute that symbolises the person and what they stood for.

You may have experienced or are anticipating a death. Please take as much time as you need and reach out to me whenever you are ready. Arranging a ceremony for a loved one can be overwhelming and emotionally demanding. There is no rush. Remember you do not have to do everything at once or in any particular order.
It is my privilege to create and conduct a ceremony that is personalised and a true representation of the life of the person being honoured.
I will provide you with choices, flexibility and a glimmer of light on a dark day, to let you mourn but also to encourage you with some joy as you remember, pay tribute, reflect and delight in the life, stories and feelings of the person who has died.

This will help me create a meaningful, authentic and bespoke ceremony for both the person who has died and their family and friends. As an independent funeral celebrant, I will guide and support your choices including readings, poems, prayers, hymns and music.
