Hi, I'm Juliette
I am a modern, fun, inclusive celebrant who specialises in storytelling. I live and work in the beautiful southwest of England and take so much joy in my work as a celebrant. I love to listen to you, to hear your stories, crafting and creating your ceremonies with words reflecting you and your life. I am a happy person who loves love and life and take great pleasure in being a celebrant.
At the heart of me, I am creative and passionate about people, their lives, stories, emotions, memories. As a qualified celebrant I bring my life’s experiences in the arts, media and travel to my role, combining my past experiences, my daily life, my inquisitiveness, my sense of fun to make me who I am today. All in order to be the perfect celebrant for you.
What's my ceremony style?
I have always been told that I write visually, think creatively, smile widely and laugh loudly. I also know that I love unconditionally, live unashamedly and relish new experiences and people. All of this is the heart of me, who I am. I use my skills, creativity, professionalism and a teeny touch of mischief and laughter for all your ceremonies, creating unique moments in time to cherish on your day.

There are so many reasons I love being a celebrant but if I were to pick just one, I LOVE that moment when somebody looks at me, and smiles, as I have written their story, just as they somehow always knew they wanted it told.

Your story, your values, your love, is what any ceremony is about. What makes you laugh, what makes you cry, what song makes you jump up and dance or sit down and smile secretly to yourself, lost in memory. I am there to gently gather all of the elements which make up you and weave them into your ceremony in exactly the way you want. I aim to always reflect you, so that after your wedding ceremony (or any ceremony!) your friends and family will be smiling and laughing as they recognised you and love you. After all, this is your story, let’s tell it.
What do I offer?
Weddings
Crafting, curating, writing and being part of your wedding is at the essence of my ceremonies. I adore the sheer joy which surrounds each and every couple when they stand (or sit down) together and say their vows, making promises to each other, heading towards their future happiness, their hopes and desires. I belive that choosing me as your wedding celebrant you will have made sure that I ‘get you’!, that together we are the ‘right fit’ and, in doing so, the fun begins. My ceremonies are meaningful, real and romantic, with a touch of humour where appropriate.
As a storyteller I offer couples the chance to have their love story heard to ensure that you have a wedding ceremony that is all about your unique relationship and what is important to you. I am a modern, fun celebrant who loves everything to do with love and will always make sure that your love, values and views are at the forefront of your ceremony. If you want to add traditional elements to your ceremony, I will do that. If you want to have a toast or a singsong, that’s totally fabulous.
You may want to add a symbolic ritual such as handfasting, a magical expression of love passed down through time. Or incorporate cultural, religious or spiritual traditions which are important to you, fusing together your past, present and future. You also get to choose exactly where to hold your wedding inside or outside, day or night, small and intimate or large and lush.

Working with me you will have a personal connection right from the moment we meet, keeping in touch throughout the months leading up to your wedding day. I am super happy to perform your ceremony anywhere you want and relish creating unique and/or symbolic elements within your ceremony which will undoubtably make your wedding day stand out and be remembered for ever. Your ceremony should start your wedding party, not be the quick bit to get through before the party starts. With me, you can start at the beginning of your wedding day, just as you mean to go on.

Funerals
As a qualified funeral celebrant I am deeply honoured to be trusted to help you with the words needed to not only say goodbye, but also to remember the life of a loved one who has passed away. You undoubtably will be shell shocked with grief and it is my place to help you remember their life, their personality, their strengths and passions. My core values at any rememberance ceremony are to be sympethetic to the life lived of the person who has died, but also to unite the people left behind with uplifting and joyful memories.
Grief can overwhelm our ability to think coherently. Often planning or even contemplating the funeral ceremony of somebody we have lost can become an insufferable task. Whether it is held at a crematorium, a woodland burial, at the Funeral Directors or at the wake, I will speak for you. If you want to remember on a beach, in a local pub, at home, I will hold a ceremony. Whether you choose to incorporate personal, individual symbolism in the service or prefer traditional rites of passage, I will craft the words to convey your memorial message.

Why choose Juliette for your funeral?
We need to mourn, yet we also need to remember a life, where that person’s astounding, affirming, quirky, generous gifts of living can be shared and remembered. As a funeral celebrant my purpose is to ensure that during the memorial ceremony, the memories shared are genuine reflections of a person’s life. I always try to incorporate happy memories, delightful stories friends may not know, a joke they never heard, a slice of living history or a song they loved to sing.

Fabulous fun Celebrant
Juliette was our celebrant for our amazing wedding in May 2022. Juliette is the most personable, friendly and loving person. From our first meeting we knew we had not only found our celebrant but also a friend. She was (and still is) so supportive of us as a couple and our life we have together.
The ceremony was so beautifully written and all our family & friends loved how personal it was to us. We even had two family members sing a song mid way through our ceremony (a surprise to us), Juliette helped them both and guided them through the day.
We can’t thank Juliette enough for starting the celebrations in the best possible way, it set us up for the most magical day.
Luxury garden wedding ceremony at home
From the moment we spoke to Juliette we knew that it was meant to be and that we could trust her to tell our story.
Juliette is the most amazing woman – warm, funny, empathetic and kind with the sort of infectious energy that you know you’ll want around on your wedding day.
We went through some personal issues during the lead up to our wedding and despite an impending deadline, Juliette was incredibly understanding and positive about still giving us a beautiful ceremony. Once we had the mental capacity to do so, we loved filling in the questionnaire Juliette sent us. From this, she took our answers and crafted a ceremony that was so personal, we couldn’t believe it was written by somebody we’d only spoken to a handful of times.
All our guests raved about Juliette & took time on the day to say that they’d never experienced a ceremony like ours.
Juliette joked when we first spoke that she always wants to keep her couples after their ceremony is done, but it was us left wanting to keep her! We will be forever grateful and in awe of this wonderful woman – it was an absolute pleasure to hire her as our storyteller.
Funeral
Juliette was kind, sensitive and thoughtful throughout the planning of my father’s funeral. Despite the challenges that the COVID-19 restrictions presented, Juliette gently took time to get to know the man my father was, through considerate communication with us, at a difficult time. As a result, she delivered a warm and personalised tribute for my father as we said our final farewell to him. Thank you
