If you’re looking for a bespoke ceremony that reflects you or your loved one, I’m your girl.
I’m Iona, and I am your independent celebrant. This means I have the lucky job of crafting beautiful ceremonies for all your life events.
Whether you are celebrating your love as a couple and getting married, welcoming a new addition into the world, marking a significant life event, or bidding a loved one farewell, I can work with you to make sure the day is memorable and special.

What do I offer?
Weddings
If you’re looking for a wedding ceremony with a difference, then I’m all ears. One of the brilliant things about a celebrant-led wedding is that we get to chuck out the rule book and start from scratch. Did you know that you could have a gin-blending element to your day where you get to toast your marriage and celebrate coming together as one? I love weddings in barns, beautiful buildings, outside and anything with a rustic touch makes me happy!
My price includes:
– Unlimited contact any time, and I will get back to you quickly. We can chat via WhatsApp, video call, phone, email- whatever you find easiest.
– A couple’s questionnaire to help me really get to know you both.
– A tailored ceremony: your love story is unique, and your ceremony should reflect that.
– Vow suggestions or support with writing your own.
– Ideas for readings and songs during the service.
– Liaising with other suppliers such as the venue, photographers, and musicians.
– I arrive early on the day to ensure everything is running smoothly and ready to go.
– Leading your wedding ceremony.
– A copy of your wedding script for you to keep and look back on over the years.
– I will not take any other bookings on your wedding day, so you will have my complete, undivided attention which is no less than you deserve.

I love getting to know my couples, hearing about how your love story began and all the little things you adore about one another. I’m also a big fan of hearing funny stories so I can weave these into your ceremony so that we can all trade smiles, chuckles and contagious laughter. So when you choose me as a celebrant, prepare for a ceremony filled with joyous giggles and uproarious laughter – because love should not only be felt in the heart, but heard in the echoes of shared laughter.
Naming Ceremonies
A naming ceremony is a beautiful way of marking a significant life event. You may choose to have this ceremony to welcome a new baby into your family, to mark two families blending, or even celebrate a gender transition or new identity. Whatever you want to celebrate, we can work together to create a fitting day for you and your family.
A naming ceremony is a beautiful occasion to include symbolic rituals such as a sand jar ceremony or unity candle lighting.
– Regular contact before the ceremony. You can get in touch as much as you like via WhatsApp/ video calls/ phone calls, and I’d love to meet you in person before the day too if this is possible.
– A bespoke, personalised ceremony script to which you have full editorial rights. I’ll send you the first draft for you to edit and make comments until you are completely happy.
– Liaising with the venue and any suppliers you may choose.
– Leading the naming ceremony on the day.
– Being your right-hand woman and arriving early on the day to make sure everything is going to plan.

Renewal of Vows

Whether it’s been one blissful year, or a dazzling decade, renewing your vows is a celebration of a love that has stood the test of time and shared adventures.

I bloomin’ love love! As someone who has renewed her vows (so nice, I married him twice), I know how fun it can be. I would love to help you create a magical day.
Funerals
Arranging a celebration of life (funeral) can be daunting and emotional, I’m here to share the journey with you and help create a service that honours your loved one. I want to learn what they were like, hear about your favourite memories shared and perhaps even a jovial tale or two! I aim to create a ceremony that celebrates your loved one, honours them and for you to remember them with fondness and love. I’d love to have a free, no-obligation call with you to see if I am the right fit for your family.
– I will meet you wherever you feel most comfortable, usually, this is in the family home but can be anywhere you choose.
– Unlimited contact via WhatsApp/ phone calls/ video calls.
– A personalised and sensitively written celebration of life script to which you have full editorial rights.
– Liaising with your funeral director, venue staff and any other suppliers.
– I offer you the option of a phone call on the day if you would like.
– I will arrive early on the day to make sure everything is running smoothly.
– Leading the celebration of life ceremony.
– I will contact you a week or so after the ceremony to see how you are and if there is any support that I can signpost you to.

As a funeral celebrant, I strongly believe that the service should honour your loved one and allow you all to remember them with fondness and love. It’s an opportunity to celebrate their life and how they impacted you. Whether they lived a long and full life, or were taken from you far too soon, I will spend time with you to create a beautiful and respectful service together that is a fitting tribute for them.

Wonderfully thoughtful and considered
Iona provided a beautifully well considered and personalised approach to wedding celebration and hosting. From taking th time to get to know us along with a fun questionnaire the process itself was enjoyable. The day and the event itself was wonderful and Iona’s presentation and speech giving, and vow reading suggestions were delightful. We would use Iona again a million times (although obviously once is perfect) and recommend her highly, especially for that personal touch that religious and legal ceremonies do not offer.
