Hi, I'm Mairead
I am a Registered Solemniser and Celebrant with Entheos, a fully inclusive non-denominational Religious Body in Ireland. We recognise all faiths or none. As a member of the Entheos community, I believe in the absolute equality of all people and I want you to have the perfect inclusive ceremony that captures your values, your beliefs and your personality.
I am passionate about creating a memorable ceremony for all my couples and families and I’m a born storyteller, curious about life and people and our need to come together to celebrate our milestone moments.
What's my ceremony style?
I’ve been told that I have a warm and engaging personality. I’m very good at putting people at ease. I love a sense of occasion and displaying the necessary balance of gravitas without losing the warmth, fun and enthusiasm that parts of the ceremony require.

Candles play a huge symbolic part of many ceremonies. I love the idea of lighting a Remembrance Candle to honour our departed loved ones who have gone before us and then using the light of the previous generation to light up the path of the new generation.

Up to now, you’ve been expressing your love in private but now you’re ready to publicly declare your commitment with your nearest and dearest. Sometimes that can be a bit daunting, it’s hard to know where to start. I’ll guide you through each step of the ceremony from arrival to the very end.
Naming Ceremonies
A Naming Ceremony is the perfect way to welcome your precious bundle into the world and celebrate this beautiful new life with friends and family.
I will want to know all about your child and what makes them special and unique so that I can create a Naming Ceremony bespoke to them and their personality. I can suggest lots of music, poems, readings and ceremony enhancements to bring joy, fun and a great sense of occasion to the day. Most of all, I’ll listen to you and find out what’s important to you.

Renewal of Vows
Life throws us so many lemons, we must be expert lemonade producers by now! Even strong relationships are not immune to life’s challenges. Many couples, having been through the ups and downs of life and still feeling deep love for each other, wish to re-celebrate that first commitment to each other by renewing their vows.
Vow Renewals can be a great focal-point of that big holiday you’ve always wanted. Perhaps there wasn’t sufficient funds or time available for a proper honeymoon when you got married. Maybe you could renew your vows as part of that dream holiday to Ireland that you’ve always said you wanted to take. Birthdays and Anniversaries are also a great opportunity to renew your vows and celebrate with those who have travelled on this journey with you.

Funerals
I am an experienced Funeral Celebrant and as a member of the Entheos Community, I respect people of all faiths or none.
A Celebrant-led or Civil Funeral or ‘Celebration of Life’ Service is a beautiful way to honour someone’s passing.
I feel it as an honour and a privilege to be able to help families mourn their loved ones. The funeral is an important part of the grieving process. We come together as a community to support each other and recognise our great loss.

Elopement Celebrant – Highly Reccomend!
We were lucky enough to have Mairead as our celebrant for our elopment on May 9th this year. From the very start when I got in touch with Mairead she made the whole process straight forward and easy. We wanted to get married on a beach but couldn’t legally sign paperwork there, Mairead was very happy to help us out and done a symbolic ceremony on the beach and then later a legal ceremony back at our hotel. Mairead made the day so so special for us, she created a really personal ceremony that we will cherish forever. She done a hand fasting ceremony and sand pouring ceremony too which was a lovely touch. She had no issues with any of our requests and was more than happy to help along the way with the planning, she even provided chairs and some lovely decor for the day and buried a child of prague the day before, which obviously worked because we had amazing weather!
I would highly reccomend Mairead for any event, she is amazing at what she does and we’re already talking about renewing our vows with her in 10 years!! Thank you Mairead for everything you done for us!
Wedding celebrant
Mairead officiated our wedding and she did the most amazing job, from the first conversation we had with her to the day of the actual wedding. Mairead was brilliant on the day, she told our love story in a fab way and everyone, including myself and Eddie thought she was amazing. Eddie was a tad nervous while waiting for me and she put him at ease. Mairead is not only very good at what she does she’s a lovely person also & we would highly recommend her to anyone thinking of getting married.

A celebration of life
I recommend Mairead without hesitation. She helped us plan a celebration of the life of our daughter, with no religion, that truly reflected her creativity, her love of life, animals and nature, and how well loved she was and is by her family and friends left behind.
Mairead listened to all of us and the result was a ceremony we are all proud of and a memorable farewell to a beloved daughter.
