Hi, I'm Debbie
I am a fun-loving celebrant who enjoys telling love stories for couples in New Zealand. If you want a destination wedding in New Zealand, this is the place to come to! We have easy access to stunning beaches here in Tauranga which make fabulous ceremony venues. I have also worked in many beautiful wedding venues in the area. I offer wedding ceremonies for everyone – from 2 guests to 200 or more. I can marry you at a wedding venue, on a beach, at a farm – I’ve even married a couple on a boat as part of a fishing trip! I have been marrying couples for three years in various parts of New Zealand. I love to meet people of other cultures and have found ways to include various languages and cultures in the ceremony. Celebrants in New Zealand are able to legally marry you and couples from overseas are welcome here.
What's my ceremony style?
I am a relaxed, fun-loving celebrant creating ceremonies full of love and laughter. People often say, “It’s like you’ve known the couple for years. You told their story perfectly!”
I am getting bookings now from people who have seen me officiate at weddings and liked my easy-going, relaxed style. I am very organised but also happy to be very flexible during the ceremony. As a teacher of young children, I am very happy to include your kids in your ceremony.
Every ceremony I have done has included laughter – it’s part of who I am! While there is a serious side to getting you officially married, I believe there must be fun and joy too.

When you meet me you will instantly feel comfortable, and likely be laughing from the outset. I am famous for my infectious belly laugh! I will get to know you well, and tell your love story with compassion, humour and sensitivity. I have even been known to sing a few lines of songs.
I am an outgoing, bubbly person who loves forming relationships with a wide range of people. I have married 90 couples in three years and am as excited about it now as I was three years ago.
What do I offer?
Weddings
Couples who want a relaxed, fun wedding with their loved ones to witness it are my ideal people. There are very few rules around getting married (you don’t HAVE to do what Gran or Aunty Joan says!) so I enjoy working with couples who are happy to do things a bit differently. I love marrying people on beaches or in any of the gorgeous venues around the Bay of Plenty. My couples always have plenty to say or write about themselves as a couple, making it fun for me to tell their stories. Often they have children already, and want them included in the ceremony, but they also understand that the children may not perform perfectly on the day! The couples I work with often have wonderful photographers and videographers who communicate well with me so we get some awesome memories of their day.
Package 1 is called “Adore it”. A short ceremony in our garden for you and up to 25 of your guests. PRICE: $400 (includes 1 bottle of Bubbles, 4 serve cake)
Package 2 – “Dream it”. An intimate elopement ceremony at a location of your choice. Just the couple and a small number of guests. PRICE $500
Package 3 – “Believe it”. The fully personalised ceremony, written specifically for you. You can have a wedding party of bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, even the dog! I will help you to write your own vows or choose the perfect ones so your day is yours. PRICE $650
Package 4 – “Love it”. Same as Package 3, but I will stay on and be your MC. PRICE:$1300
Package 5 – “Lust It”. Come to New Zealand for a destination wedding and I will organise it for you. PRICE- on application

Renewal of Vows
If you’ve been married for a while, gone through life’s ups and downs, and still know that you love each other, I’d love to help you renew your vows. Anywhere, and in any way that you choose. You could say your original vows or I’ll help you write new ones that reflect your journey together. Most of all, you will be able to make promises for your future together. Let’s celebrate love.

Funerals
When you lose a loved one it’s incredibly difficult to make decisions. I will come to your home to meet with you, armed with resources to help you plan a funeral that reflects your loved one in a respectful, appropriate way.

As an independent funeral celebrant, I can perform funerals with anyone and anywhere. While many funerals are held inside and funeral venues, I’m also very happy to do outdoor celebrations of life on a farm or a place that was special to your loved one. Best ceremony ever
The best ceremony and experience ever, I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect for our special day. Debbie was wonderful, she helped us along the way and worked with us to make sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted

Debbie was the most amazing celebrant at our wedding. We had a lot of emails exchanged. Debbie planned everything beautifully for us, kept my husband calm while he waited and supported us in everything we wanted to do. Highly recommend her!!!
Such attention to detail!
Debbie did amazing, and even added the sweetest little touches by printing our vows and my grandma’s reading on gorgeous decorated cards. Debbie had such a positive, fun energy and was always smiley despite the bit of rain! Highly recommend her as she really takes the time to get to know the couple and brings lots of laughter as well.
