I was introduced to Berni as I was looking for a celebrant for the funeral of a close family member. Berni was fantastic – pulling together an order of service, interviewing family members to get their memories, and being someone who could give a very humanist, practical reflection on the day and a life well lived.
The speech she wrote after having interviewed a handful of family members showed a real understanding when it come to piecing together the life history of someone who she, of course, had never met. Even picking out poems that had particular relevance.
A warm, understanding and incredibly capable person whose efforts went a huge way to reducing the impending sense of stress around the day, and we were very grateful for her dropping into the reception afterwards. Would happily use again and encourage others to do so.
