My brother and I saw it as a near impossible task to distil our mountain of happy memories of our beloved Dad, into an event which could do justice to his memory – so we were highly apprehensive about our meeting Lara to try and do so. But we were soon put at ease by Lara who sensitively facilitated what became a somewhat joyous discussion. Together we fused our words, clips of his favourite music and scrolling family pictures, to achieve a meaningful illustration of a wonderful Dad, husband and grandparent. Step one was to collate the right content (order of service and eulogy), step two was conducting the event and actual delivery. Lara was perfect for the occasion: everything from her appearance, her poise and the tone/pace of her voice was well considered and highly professional. One of the most difficult days of our lives was made as meaningful and ‘celebratory’ as could have been achieved – we will always be thankful to Lara for being central to that.
