“What we said that we wanted from the beginning when we started to plan our wedding was something with the presence of a church wedding without the religion and also to feel that it wasn’t just a generic service that could have been for any couple. Beyond that we were clueless. So off we went and searched for a celebrant. We shortlisted about a dozen and ended up interviewing about half of those – Emily stood out by not only being very friendly and kind but also happy to guide us through the process of taking our blank sheet of paper and turning it into our wedding ceremony. After our first meeting, we came away knowing that we’d definitely made the right choice although felt like we hadn’t given her much to go on. Despite our ums and “I don’t knows”, Emily delivered a script that had us in tears and fitted the bill perfectly. As the big day drew closer there were tweaks as we changed our minds about this and that and although we were nervous about tripping over our feet and our words we knew that the ceremony would be perfect. And it was. The tone was spot on – there was laughing and tears but overall it was full of warmth, love and happiness. It was absolutely the wedding ceremony we wanted and the feeling we had imagined. Many of our guests remarked on how beautiful the service was and how personal it felt.I can’t recommend Emily highly enough.”
