I found Rosalie’s blog on virtual funerals online and thank god I did! My father dying during lock down was absolutely heartbreaking. Neither my aunts, my cousin, or my family and I could travel over to Ireland for the funeral to be with my sister and her family. I was searching for an appropriate alternative to live streaming my sister with nine other guests (current COVID restrictions) doing a service in the funeral home. With Rosalie’s help we created a virtual ceremony with over 80 online guests as well as my sister and her family joining from the funeral home with my dad. We had music, singing, readings, reflections, lighting of candles, raising a glass, a slideshow and more. And it actually felt like a proper funeral! We’ve had so many messages from friends and family thanking us for a beautiful, inclusive ceremony. But most importantly it was hugely helpful for my aunts and I to be able to truly be part of dad’s funeral and help us with the grieving process. We are so so grateful to Rosalie for helping make that happen x
