As soon as we had our first introductory call with Sel, we knew she was right for us. She had a fun energy and enthusiasm but was also laid back. She made us feel at ease right away and we felt she would be the perfect fit for our relaxed wedding at Jervaulx Abbey. The process with Sel was smooth from start to finish. When we first received our script, we were both really impressed with how well Sel seemed to have captured us without actually having met us in person and we even shed a little tear. We made very few changes to Sel’s draft and she helped us with our vows along the way.

On the day itself, Sel didn’t have the easiest job- having to stand outside and deliver the ceremony in the (unexpected) rain! She donned an umbrella and got on with it. She delivered a touching ceremony which we loved. We also really enjoyed the personal touches- our handmade vow cards, the cute wedding pack and the certificate for us (and our dog) to sign- very cute. When she introduced herself to us after the ceremony, we actually forgot we hadn’t previously met in person!
