Hi, I'm Steve

A warm welcome and thank you for visiting my profile.
Are you looking for a professional yet relaxed civil celebrant? Do you want something a little different? Do you want a ceremony that your friends and family will be involved in and will remember for ever? Whether you are getting married, saying a sad farewell to a loved one, renewing your vows or welcoming a new family member into your loving home, it will be an honour to share that journey with you and work with you to create and deliver your story. I am a civil celebrant for weddings, funerals, celebration of life, adoption welcoming, pet funerals, scattering/interment of ashes and naming ceremonies throughout Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid/North Wales and the West Midlands.

What's my ceremony style?

If you would like your ceremony to feel upbeat right from the start, I provide live music on the trumpet or organ/piano. The most popular for walking down the aisle is “Here Comes the Bride” but, if the organ or the slower romantic pieces don’t take your fancy, what about Trumpet Voluntary, often heard at Royal weddings.
At funerals, I can perform The Last Post on the bugle as a nod to the deceased time in the military or emergency services. It is often sounded at military funerals to indicate that the soldier has gone to his final rest.

Why choose Steve?

As a headteacher and musician, I’d often been asked to speak or perform at weddings and funerals of friends and family. Public speaking and performing are something I thoroughly enjoy doing. After 28 years as a teacher, I decided it was time for a change of career and to take the plunge and become a celebrant. And I love it!
I studied music at music college, and I began my working life as a professional musician this led to me performing at many different venues including many weddings and funerals.

What do I offer?

Wedding | 05/09/2024 | Ironbridge

We were absolutely thrilled with Steve Pritchard-Jones as our wedding celebrant! From our first meeting, it was clear that Steve was both professional and personable, making the entire planning process smooth and enjoyable.

Steve took the time to get to know us and crafted a ceremony that was not only meaningful but also filled with fun and personal touches that truly reflected our personalities and love story. His ability to balance professionalism with a warm, friendly demeanor made everyone feel at ease, and many of our guests commented on how wonderful and unique the ceremony was.

Additionally, Steve’s talents as a musician added a special touch to our day. He played the trumpet and the piano beautifully during the ceremony and at the drinks reception, creating the perfect atmosphere.

We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant and musician for our wedding. Thank you, Steve, for making our day so memorable!

Funeral | 05/27/2024 | Wrexham

I recently attended my brother’s funeral officiated by Steve Pritchard-Jones, and I am compelled to share how profoundly moving the experience was. Steve’s professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail were evident from the outset. He took the time to understand the family’s wishes and crafted a ceremony that truly honoured the life of the departed.
What stood out most was Steve’s remarkable ability to blend solemnity with a sense of celebration for the life lived. His words were thoughtful and heartfelt, bringing both comfort and a sense of closure to all who were present.
The highlight of the service was Steve’s sounding of ‘The Last Post’ and ‘Reville’ on the bugle. It was an incredibly emotional moment that left everyone in attendance deeply moved.
Steve Pritchard-Jones at Top Note Ceremonies provided a service that was both dignified and deeply personal. I highly recommend Steve for anyone seeking a celebrant who can deliver a memorable and heartfelt farewell.
