I am a professional, Independent Celebrant, and look forward to helping you create a uniquely crafted ceremony, exactly how you have imagined. Let me find the words to tell your special story whether it be a Wedding ceremony, a Renewal of Vows, a Naming Day Celebration, a Funeral, Memorial or a Celebration of Life. I am well-versed in a variety of ceremony styles too, from completely secular to the more spiritual, and can seamlessly harmonise with your individual plans and ideas.
I’m based in the centre of the national forest covering Staffordshire, Derbyshire, the West Midlands and surrounding areas, although having spent a lifetime in the cruise industry, I am happy to travel both nationally and internationally to make your ceremony truly special with an abundance of unforgettable memories, wherever you want it to be arranged.
What's my ceremony style?
As a trained actor, a former full time Cruise Director and entertainer I love the spoken word and the depth of feeling and emotion that it can produce, I also value the power of music which is such an inspiration in our lives and can meaningfully underscore any ceremony to truly reflect individuals or couples. So, expect a beautiful, expressive script presented in a calm melodious manner. I will be there for you from the very start and will support you and your family through the planning stages and final build up until your chosen day, and then I will deliver the most distinctive ceremony for everyone involved in your special setting.

Vow Renewal in Antarctica
This was a unique opportunity to renew the vows of a senior officer colleague and his wife on the Antarctic continent. It wasn’t glamorous, we were dressed in parkas, woolly hats and boots, but the tranquillity of the mountains with penguins as witnesses, made it the most sublime moment!

This is your love story and Celebrant led ceremonies mean there are no restrictions on the type of wedding that you can have. Whatever your beliefs, spirituality, or ethnicity, you can include traditional elements, modern twists, your own choice of music, fly wherever your imagination takes you!
I’m not just here to guide you through your wedding vows; I’m here to help you craft a narrative that truly captures the essence of your love and shares that story with your family and friends. This is the focal point of your day and requires our careful attention. I only book one wedding ceremony on any given day and so my focus is exclusively on you.

Naming Ceremonies
A perfect way to welcome a new addition to your family. This isn’t just celebrating a new baby. A child can be any age to have a naming day ceremony. It may also be a stepchild, an adopted child or a gender affirmation. Let’s give your family a ceremony filled with love, hope and truth.
The beauty of a personalised Naming Day Ceremony is the freedom to incorporate personal elements that are significant to you and your family, you can also include symbolic elements such as a sand ceremony, tree planting or a message box. Once again the choices are numerous and I am willing to explore all possibilities to make this a significant day in the life of your child.

Renewal of Vows
Vow renewals are a chance to reaffirm promises made, and acknowledge the experiences shared with each other, this can happen at any point in a marriage, whether you have been married for one year or sixty years, this is a wonderful way to celebrate and explore precious milestones and successes, providing a sense of occasion acknowledging your achievements as a couple.
Many couples ask to incorporate a vow renewal into an anniversary party as a unique way to share and create treasured memories for themselves, family and friends, sometimes they invite all of the couples present to join them in saying ‘We Still Do’!
Celebrate endless love, reaffirm your commitment and the promises you made on your original wedding day. After an initial conversation and a face to face meeting, I will ask you to complete a ceremony questionnaire. We can then discuss readings and ceremony content, add your own twists and traditions so it is completely unique. It may be that you married originally in church or at a register office and now have the opportunity to celebrate your union in any way you want, without restrictions, you can involve all the people you love, even your favourite pet, it can truly be original, in a special location, I have performed numerous vow renewals at sea and on land in exotic locations worldwide with music and dancing, but what is most important for you? Let’s discover that and plan an amazing event together.
Funerals
Funerals are not just about saying goodbye; they’re an opportunity to celebrate a life well lived and the impact that life had on those left behind. When someone dies, it is a challenge to know where to start and how to go about arranging their farewell. As your funeral Celebrant, I work closely with you and your chosen Funeral Director to ensure that the funeral ceremony for your loved one is exactly as you wish. You can get in touch with me either directly or through your Funeral Director.
My funeral ceremonies include an initial consultation, face to face or by Zoom call so that I can really get to understand the life story of your loved one.
Writing the script and eulogy based on the meeting and completed questionnaire.
Guidance on writing additional verbal tributes, poetry and readings.
Assistance with music.
Advice on the ceremony structure.
Help with the order of service and photographic tributes.
Regular contact up to your ceremony day.
Delivery of the full ceremony officiated by me on the day.
My Celebration of Life ceremonies offer choice, they can be held in a place that is special to you or has significant meaning. As with any Celebrant led ceremony, there are no rules or regulations, they can be held at any time that is right for you.

Writing the eulogies for both of my parent’s funerals and experiencing that personal grief and extended illness care changed my path profoundly. I empathise with others going through similar experiences, this is an extremely emotional time, so I will listen to what you want and really get to understand and know your loved one, their character and their story. I will then write a complete funeral ceremony including personalised elements and anecdotes which can be woven throughout, ensuring that your farewells are heartfelt, memorable, and dignified.

My dads farewell
When my dad passed away we found that he had left a short summary of his 99yrs. We asked Adam to be our celebrant & so glad we did. Adam was professional, compassionate, genuinely interested in dads life & passionate about what he was doing. Since the service I now know more about my dad as Adam had done so much research.
