Hi, I'm Rev. Lindy
Scotland… the land of ancient castles, mysterious lochs and misty glens, where everyone you meet has a has a PhD in friendly banter, where you need subtitles to understand half the conversations, and where “wee” is not just a size, but a way of life!… if someone says, “I’m away doon the road for a wee pint,” you can bet they’re away on a 3 day pub crawl!
If there is one thing that Scots people love more than anything else… it’s a good celebration! Whether it’s a Wedding Ceremony, Handfasting, Vow Renewal, or Wetting the Baby’s Head … us Scots love a shindig!
I’m Rev. Lindy, a quirky, fun and all round friendly ritualist, ceremonialist and Interfaith Minister based in Perthshire, Scotland. And I have the best job in the world helping people to celebrate some of life’s major milestones.
What's my ceremony style?
My style is fun, relaxed and meaningful in equal measures. I love having fun with you and your guests but it’s also important to drop into the more serious moments when needed.
What makes me unique?
That’s a tough one and hard to answer without making myself sound like I’m blowing my own trumpet! But I suppose it’s because although I take ceremony very seriously, I’m also funny when appropriate, serious when needed and VERY comfortable delivering Ceremony to large groups of people.
I am authorised by the Registrar General to conduct legal weddings in Scotland.

Most of the couples who ask me to be their Celebrant are looking for a Ceremony that is relaxed, laid-back, fun and very Scottish. But they also want their Ceremony to have depth and meaning, and this is very important because a Marriage Ceremony is a sacred one and should be treated as such.
So when you watch my Aye Do Ceremony videos, although you will see people laughing and having a good time, what you can’t see is that the Ceremony is also being held by something much deeper than we understand through our everyday experience.

As an Interfaith Minister, I offer Naming Ceremonies that can be Non-Religious or can include elements of your own faith or Spirituality within.

My Ceremonies are fun, relaxed and very child inclusive. If you are going to include children in a Ceremony you have to allow them to do their own thing! I’m very comfortable & happy to conduct the Ceremony around the child/children.

The ceremony was our favourite part!
We have had so many lovely things said about our ceremony that have really taken us back. “The best ceremony I’ve been to”, “Everything she did was very you guys!” and “She really set the tone for the whole day and made everyone feel so involved, it was lovely”.
We came across Lindy from a preferred suppliers list and straight away she stood heads and shoulders above the others. From viewing the content on her website we got a great sense of her style and it fit with exactly with what we were looking for. Lindy was a massive part of why we had such an amazing time getting married and throughout the process she’s been insightful, responsive, personal, calming and full of humour. Exactly what we needed organising from London! Thinking back on the day we both agree the ceremony was our favourite part and wish we could relive it all over again. Thank you for everything Lindy!
There’s more we could say about meeting us and the zoom calls and everything you did for us at the hotel but we tried to keep it short and snappy…ish!

It was such a pleasure to work with Lindy. From our first phone call, I knew that she was going to make the process easy and our ceremony perfect. It was tough being an international bride and finding the right celebrant in a different country, but I am so glad our paths crossed. Our day was perfect and we could not have had such a beautiful ceremony without her!
