Hayley. Celebrant. Outnumbered Mum of Two. Theatre Lover. Dance Dabbler. Teacher. Food obsessed. Dog lover. Never afraid to look a bit silly. Lover of cheesy pop and an afternoon tea.
Coming from a large family, celebrations have always been a huge part of my life. I am never happier than when I am in the heart of a celebration, however big or small with my brood. I love hearing and sharing stories, there is no greater privilege than working with a family to create a ceremony that truly represents them. I am always humbled that people choose and trust me to share that special moment with them.
What's my ceremony style?
I am family focused and flexible. Letting you and your story be at the centre of your ceremony. You’ll never find me gurning in the back of your beautiful moment. I am up for anything a bit quirky and theatrical, I have an impressive collection of fancy dress thanks to my background in teaching and theatrical endevours! I will also be led by you with what support you need, you may have fixed ideas on what you want from your ceremony, or may need some help to realise what you’re looking for. Whether romantic, intimate, theatrical or traditional the choice and feel of your ceremony is all yours.

If you don’t take life too seriously, are laid back and love spending time in the company of those you love the most I am the celebrant for you. I love hearing the daft, bonkers and quirky stories that make you, uniquely you. I also *actively* encourage pets and children to be involved, please introduce me! With a background in theatre and teaching, holding (and managing) an audience is not a problem for me.
What do I offer?
Weddings
My ideal couple is creative, with a love of food, fun and fabulous theatre. Like me, you have a dog (or better, like me, dogs- plural) at home. I come from a HUGE family, so my ideal couple will have a network of wonderful quirky aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents ready to jump on the dancefloor to recreate a favourite dance EVERY time they get together. Life for my couple can be a little chaotic at times, but at the heart of their relationship is fun, laughter and ability to not take life too seriously.
I offer my couples the opportunity to create a ceremony that is unique to them and the flexibility to hold that in a place that they love. Together we can create a script you are completely happy with, not a just something “that’s alright.” On the wedding day itself I will be there to be your cheerleader, with everything ready to go, so you can just relax, knowing that your ceremony will run smoothly. I’ll have the tissues ready, a gentle squeeze on the shoulder if needed and a smile ready for you and your guests.

I believe that every one should be able to celebrate the start of their married life together, in a way that is meaningful to them, using the words of their choosing, in the manner of their choosing and in the place of their choosing (as long as they have permission from the landlord.)
Every ceremony I write and deliver is written in collaboration using your story, ideas and voice. Readings, songs, flash mobs and dogs all welcomed! It can be drafted and tweaked as much as needed so it is “just right.” You may have a really clear vision on what you want your ceremony to sound and feel like. My role as your celebrant is to offer suggestions and advice to help you create a ceremony that feels authentic and honest to you as a couple.
Naming Ceremonies
Growing your family is a magnificent milestone and should be celebrated. I love to work with families who wish to introduce their person to their community. We work together to share the story of their family up to this point, their hopes for the future and, if wanted, create a network of people for their person to guide and support them through life’s challenges.
I offer a completely bespoke ceremony service. I can advise on the format and script, suggest readings and songs that will work for your guests and event as well as delivering the ceremony.

I am a outnumbered mum of two gorgeous boys and a primary school teacher. I love working with children and recognise the rewards and challenges that parenthood presents. I am flexible in my approach to planning and delivering ceremonies involving people of all ages.
Renewal of Vows
My ideal couple are fun-loving and fabulous, probably extroverts who want to celebrate their love and commitment for a second (if not more) time. Their ceremony will be held in a place which they love, that they feel comfortable in and surrounded by their family and friends. They may include their children as part of their ceremony and want to renew their vows with them in mind.
I offer my couples the opportunity to create a ceremony that is unique to them and the flexibility to hold that in a place that they love. Together we can create a script you are completely happy with, not a just something “that’s alright.” We can look at your original vows, update them if wanted and reflect on the journey that your relationship has took from your wedding day. We can also include your children as part of your renewal and include them in your ceremony as you move forward as a family.

Funerals
Every person, no matter what age, has a story and an imprint. We recognise the impact of that when life ends, and take the opportunity to celebrate the life of that person and honour all that they were. It is nothing but an honour to be able to tell the story of your person with the heart and compassion they deserve.
To celebrate the life of person can be a difficult, but it also can be beautiful. Using your stories and my guidance (and eulogy writing, if required) we will ensure that final farewell reflects their life and offers comfort and solace to their family and friends.

If you’re looking for a something special for your ceremony Hayley will not disappoint. From our first meeting she understood the brief and put together a wonderful, personal script.
