Hi, I'm Jayne
I love love, people and stories and have a reputation for being a chatterbox, a good listener, creative, considerate, and a tad dramatic – all of which are true and help me to be the celebrant who can turn your special ceremonies into cherished moments.
People fascinate me, I grew up in a huge multi-generational family full of characters and was an infant teacher for over 30 years working with children and their families from all over the world.
I believe that life is for living, laughing, loving, feeling and sharing, experiencing the joy of being together and the pain of being apart. Together we can craft the perfect ceremony for celebrating you, your love and your loved ones.
I now live in Dorset, having returned from living in France but have spent most of my life living in the Midlands, as far from the coast as you can get.

It has been said, that it’s a good job that there’s only one of me because the world couldn’t cope with two!
I am proud to be Me and believe that you should be proud to be you, whoever you are. We all have something amazing to give to each other and the world and these things need to be shared, celebrated and cherished. There’s no such thing as too much love, joy or choice in our lives , so lets embrace them.
Yes, I’m thoughtful and full of thoughts, I always try to hear and understand, appreciate and respect, consider and advocate. Throughout my life, I have experienced the joy of new life, the grief of loss, the complexities of love and the journey of discovering your true self and I believe that I can use this experience to create ceremonies that capture your love, lives and moments perfectly.

Let’s make it a celebration filled with a touch of sentimentality, masses of fun and heaps of feel-good moments. We may add some well-chosen meaningful traditions and rituals to complement the new ideas we have to celebrate your union, authentically your way. I promise that I will help you fill your wedding with the music, words and rituals that do just that.
Dogs, children, crazy relatives, cocktails, poems, unity rituals and giggles fill my favourite kind of ceremonies, helping couples to create a truly memorable ceremony in which to say “I do!”

I am delighted to say that I am currently in the process of training to become a Naming Celebrant through The Academy of Modern Celebrancy.

Renewal of Vows
Since your wedding day, you will have had many favourite days together and probably a few you are not so keen on but that is what being married is all about. During your life together you will have experienced many adventures and seen many changes in each other and the world around you. If you’re a couple who want to share your love story to date with your family and friends in a unique and personal way during a ceremony that reflects exactly who you are now by doing things YOUR way, then I would love to help.

I married my childhood sweetheart in 1992 and know how it feels to marry your best friend but also just how much work you need to put into a marriage to make it work. I will help you do that in a way that ensures that everyone leaves feeling the love, joy and WOW of a celebration like no other.
Funerals
I believe that every life is for living, laughing, loving, feeling and sharing. As we go through life, we each experience the joy of being with and pain of being apart from the people we love. A life well lived will be full of cherished moments and stories to be remembered and on losing a loved one these stories need to be told sensitively and appropriately. For a family wanting to honour their loved one in a ceremony that celebrates a life well lived and is a mix of tradition and individuality that feels like it’s giving you a giant hug, I would love to help you. Together we can create a goodbye ceremony to celebrate and remember them in a way that is uniquely for them and you thereby enabling you to move on in your grief and heal and cherish.
