Hi, I'm Milqueya
My name is Milqueya(Mil-Kay-Yah) Collin.
It was shortened to Milque (Mil-Kay) by my inspirational Grandfather Henry. I am proud to be a muddled blend of Dominican and Scots. One of the benefits of having an unusual name is that you cannot be shy, and it is always a useful icebreaker when meeting anyone new.
What's my ceremony style?
I am described as kind, friendly, calm, kind and compassionate, whilst also being determined, driven, loud and passionate. I blame my personality contradictions on my Latino and Scottish heritage. This unique blend of personality enables me to create a ceremony that is both meaningful and enjoyable for everyone involved. I will connect with you on a personal level and make you feel comfortable and at ease. I have a knack for making people laugh, which can help to lighten the mood and make the ceremony enjoyable and a memory which will last for many years to come.

Funeral
Having never planned a funeral before I was put in touch with Milqueya. A visit at my house was planned where we chatted about Mary and got all the information needed. Milqueya wrote down as much as I could remember and blended it all together with a couple or poems that we decided between us. Milqueya was at the gravesite to meet everyone arriving and was very welcoming especially to see a familiar face. The reading was done on a fresh windy day but everything could be heard clear from Milqueya and made a sad day very special as everyone was included in her speech. Thanks again for doing what you do.
An excellent service
When choosing a celebrant, we wanted someone who would understand our journey as a couple and help us make our ceremony unique and meaningful to us. Milqueya did this and more. From our first online meeting from our home in the Middle East, Milque made us feel relaxed and comfortable to open up and talk about our relationship and what we wanted. She shared some amazing ideas that we added into our service too. On our big day, Milque travelled from the East coast to our location and was there nice and early to help calm our nerves and get to meet our guests. Her ceremony made us laugh and cry but must of all told our unique love story to our guests. In short, Milque nailed it. We cannot thank her enough for making us and our guest have the most amazing ceremony we could have dreamed of.

Mothers funeral
Milque gave us the most outstanding service to remember our beautiful mother.Milque went above and beyond to make a very difficult day that little bit easier with her choice of words, they where very comforting to us as a family! And her hard work for sure didn’t go unnoticed by any one of us !
