Hi, I'm Lisa
Hi, I am a Devon based Family Celebrant and I believe in celebrating every occasion in life from birth to death and everything in between. I have four children and a crazy dog called Daisy. I am a Paramedic of 33 years so am appreciative of life and all its ‘events’.
My passion is creating ceremonies for everyone and of every kind, that reflects each person as an individual and maybe the couple they will become, or celebrate the life they have lived.
What an amazing thing to be involved in – helping to celebrate each milestone and all the love involved. I love being outdoors, but also working at venues with a difference – a cinema, a beach, a cafe – you choose and we will make it happen together!

What's my ceremony style?
My style is fun, energetic, modern but I love ‘love’ which is the important part of your day. I am interested in people and what makes them tick – what makes them laugh or cry. As a Paramedic of 33 years, I am not phased by surprises, unexpected challenges – but I also ‘get’ people so can adapt and make people feel at ease and confident in my actions. Give me a challenge and I am in my ‘happy place’!

I love working with children and animals too – so if that’s who you want to involve then let’s do this! I want to get to know the real couple – and reflect that in your wedding! If you choose me to celebrate the life of your loved one, then together we will create a perfect ceremony reflecting that person and all they stood for. I love to include music, readings or music.
What do I offer?
Weddings
My favourite ceremony would be a relaxed, fun, outdoor ceremony involving children, the family dog, a ritual such as handfasting or a sand ceremony, and a the guests with a glass of bubbly!
My couple would be madly in love, excited about their day and how they have made it ‘their ceremony’ and looking forward to sharing with family and friends.
My wedding package involves at least two ‘in person’ meetings if we can, full script writing with amendments as required, rehearsal if the couple want one, the whole day reserved for that one wedding, officiating the ceremony, copy of the vows and/or script, and one ritual or extra ceremony moment – traditional or unique. If we need to meet ‘virtually’ then we can set up a whatsapp connection.

Naming Ceremonies
I am a family celebrant and believe that welcoming someone new into your family is an event worth celebrating!
You can have this ceremony anywhere – home, garden, park, beach, hotel, village hall, alternative location such as caves or on the top of a tram! Your vision will become my vision too.

Why choose Lisa for your naming ceremony?
I have four children of my own and wish that these ‘ceremonies’ were around when my children were small or babies. So now I am playing catch up and putting my energies into making sure your ‘naming ceremony’ is perfect and exactly how you, your family and your ‘person’ desire.
Renewal of Vows
With a vow renewal then I will take the lead from the couple. They can give me the ideas they have for their renewal and we can take them to the next level. They may want something completely different from their original wedding or may want to try and replicate their original wedding day.
I love working with all couples but the more senior couples have such an amazing energy about them that they are great fun to work with.
The package offered for a vow renewal is similar to a wedding. I only ever book one event on a day – so I am yours for that day. I will meet with you at least twice, write your ceremony, have a rehearsal if you would like one, officiate on the day and offer copies of the script and /or vows. Again, I would be delighted to include a ritual or element of fun/surprise for the guests and couple.

Funerals
I offer my celebrant services at all types of ceremonies including traditional funerals, cremations and graveside, along with Celebration of Life services, Living Funerals and also funeral ceremony planning services for those with life-limiting prognosis.
My passion is to make any ceremony reflect the person involved – and also include the wishes of all those involved.
I aim to include music, readings, rituals, items from that person, friends and family – I will do my absolute best to create the perfect ceremony.

My passion is to create a funeral ceremony that reflects the loved one who has died – in whichever way is appropriate and ‘right’ for that person. I will do anything in my power to listen to all those involved and make sure I ‘hear’ what everyone needs to make this the ‘right’ ceremony.

Wonderful wedding celebrant
We found Lisa by chance and we are so glad we did. Lisa took time to get to know us and provided the most fabulous, fun, heart warming ceremony. Nothing was too much trouble for her and her attention to detail was meticulous. Our day was elevated by her and we can’t thank her enough.
