Hi, I'm Francesca
I am passionate about celebrating life’s milestones, whether they be weddings, civil partnerships, welcoming a baby or child into a family, graduations or other significant life events. Life has taught me that we are here for a good time, not a long time and so I believe in sharing and celebrating meaningful moments with those that you love. Being a celebrant allows me to share other’s joyous life moments which is both an honour and a privilege.
I’m a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and my background is in theatre making and performance and I use my creative skills to tailor a custom-made ceremony for each client. I’m extremely collaborative and love to hear people’s stories about how they met, their love story and their adventures.
If you decide to work with me we will work together to create your perfect ceremony, sending drafts and ideas back and forth before culminating in a full rehearsal before the big day. Then on the day itself, you can focus on what really matters, celebrating your special day with the people you love.
I am based in Essex and also happy to travel to London, Kent, Suffolk and Hertfordshire. I can also travel further afield and internationally but do contact me so we can talk in more detail.
What's my ceremony style?
I’ve conducted ceremonies in numerous locations and including outdoors, pubs and everywhere else in-between. I’m adaptable and keen to work with you to create the ceremony of your dreams.

Wonderful Ceremony
Thank you so much for our wonderful ceremony and all your help leading up to it.
It was a real pleasure meeting you before we got married to discuss what we wanted from the ceremony. We were so impressed with how considered you were, particularly with the finer details and practicalities of the day.
Throughout the creation of our ceremony script, you were incredibly helpful – pulling together a heartfelt and very personal service based on our chat and the questionnaire, and then putting time and effort into adjusting it in partnership with us both. Oh, and thank you for your patience with our tinkering! – as the script developed we realised more and more what we wanted our ceremony to be like, and you really helped us get there.
On the day itself, we were so pleased with how you delivered the ceremony, and lots of our guests said how lovely they thought it was. We were also grateful for you sending on our printed vows as a keepsake afterwards, and the warmth you gave us, and our friends and family on the day.
A wonderful wedding in Cartagena, Colombia
hank you so much for officiating at our daughter and new son-in-law’s wedding ceremony in Cartagena, Colombia. The beauty of place, themes of the ceremony you created and the words you spoke will be remembered and cherished for the rest of our lives. You wove together the strands of the story of their meeting and falling in love—even including their beloved cats. It was obvious that you had really made a connection to the hearts of the couple, and your words, enabled all of us to feel their love and understand that these two people were meant for one another.
There was nothing generic about the service –it was warm and personal and graceful and yet had a structure that reminded us we were all coming together to witnesses a sacred event. The reading you chose carried through to their vows. You also have such a lovely speaking voice! We are so grateful you were our Celebrant. Alisa Taylor
Woodland Wedding
Francesca is great to work with. She is a really good listener and it felt like she completely understood who we were as a couple. After our initial zoom call we knew she was the celebrant for us. She has a calming, positive energy and this was really suited to our woodland wedding. When we met in person we went through all our history as a couple. We then sent her our questionnaires and vows separately from which she curated an amazing tailor-made ceremony. All our guests commented on how lovely and personal it was and we will cherish it forever. Thank you Francesca!
