Hello, I’m Kate Mortimer of Heartfelt Ceremony. I am passionate about offering a professional, responsive service for wedding, naming, vow renewal and celebration of life/funeral/memorial ceremonies. Since starting Heartfelt, it’s been my pleasure and privilege to conduct a considerable number of ceremonies, with excellent feedback. I have a Master’s degree in Creative Writing, and love creating eloquent ceremonies which reflect you and your wishes. I continue to work as an NHS and independent therapist, and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as a result. What's my ceremony style?
I love getting to know clients and building a relationship, so I can truly reflect you in the ceremonies which I craft and conduct for you. I love bright colours, wild spaces, beautiful buildings, cats and making people smile. I love my vintage dresses, jewellery and shoes, and they do put in guest appearances at ceremonies (but not in a way to upstage you – YOU are my focus, and the most important people there!) I specialise in unique, quirky, outdoor, homegrown, vintage and LGBTQ+ wedding ceremonies. I provide naming, adoption, family and renewal of vows ceremonies. I also provide celebrations of life ceremonies (funerals, memorials, scattering of ashes). I am creative, dependable and warm in my approach – I have a wealth of ideas and resources to make your ceremony uniquely special, and you can choose the level of input you feel comfortable with in the process. Perfect Ceremony for the Perfect Day
We hired Kate to perform a non-religious ceremony for our wedding day and she was brilliant. She created the perfect personal service, working with us in the build up, catering to our every request. On the day she handled everything brilliantly, including last minute quirks and delays, and delivered a heart warming ceremony which really reflected what we wanted.
