Hi, I'm Lonan

I believe weddings should be unique, vibrant and memorable celebrations of love that represent and reflect the individuals at their centre.

Weddings are incredibly special things. But it’s quite hard for us to fully explain why. Yes, they are fun parties, and it’s great to get all our friends and family together for a big celebration, but there must be something deeper going on too. Marriage sits with birth and death as one of the great life moments and rituals that we carry out as humans, but unlike birth and death it is something we actively choose to do. It is almost a cultural universal in that it exists in almost every culture around the world in some form or another.

So why not make sure your ceremony is a meaningful reflection of this; one that truly represents you and your partner, and the unique love you share with one another?

What's my ceremony style?

I am a unique and vibrant LGBTQIA+, feminist, non-religious celebrant, who puts compassion, community, colour, humour and style into the ceremonies I conduct.

As a celebrant, I routinely hold and bring together varying traditions and cultural practices, while also gently nudging the couples I work with in creative directions, reminding them that there are alternatives and different ways of doing things.

I am passionate about ritual and ceremony, and strongly believe your ceremony should reflect the importance of celebrating your love, the journey you’ve been on so far and the new journey you are about to embark on into marriage.

Balancing tradition with progress, humour and warmth with sincerity, I can guarantee you and your guests won’t have seen a ceremony quite like this before.

My ideal couple is anyone who wants a unique, vibrant and emotional ceremony that is playful, yet grounded. My favourite ceremony type is one that breaks the mould, tries to do things differently and lives on in the memory of the couple and guests long after the day is done.

As well as my complete wedding package, I also offer vow writing and speech writing workshops for brides, grooms, brides of honour, best men, mothers of the bride, fathers of the bride and anyone else who needs a bit of help crafting their words for the big day. I also offer Master of Ceremony and Toastmaster packages.

I am also an experienced wedding DJ, should you need one!
