Hi and thank you for clicking on the button. I’m Lesley and I am here to help you create your perfect, individualised ceremony. It can be a wedding celebration, a touching funeral for a loved one; renewing of vows or naming ceremony. Whatever you are looking for I can help you achieve the very personalised ceremony you might crave.
Having been a primary teacher I am used to planning for individuals and seeing the results at the end. So when you have told me YOUR stories, or those of your loved ones, I will be able to craft it into that special ceremony that will make you laugh or cry, but will bring a smile to your face.
We are practically perfect and you will be in safe hands all the way from cradle to grave.
What's my ceremony style?
Individual, personal, fun, serious, outdoors, indoors, wood-side or beach-front – all are accessible for you. You will have a service as special as you are. No one is the same so your unique day will not come from a template.
My aim is to give you a day that you will remember; for your wedding as one of the best of your lives and for a funeral one of the most loving and caring days.
I will listen to your requirements and talk through with you how we achieve them. I am a positive person who will respect your views and traditions. If asked, I am very happy to help with symbolic rituals you may also like to include.

Through my own personal experiences planning my wedding and the funerals of close family, I have a very good insight into how difficult it is to get what you want for these memorable days. I can assure you, should you choose me, I will be there, by your side all the way to help ensure you get your ceremony that is as unique as you are.

Weddings
My ideal couple are two people who want to have the most perfect day full of love and fun. You will be ready to make happy memories that you can look back on in years to come. My favourite ceremony is whatever you would like it to be – it’s your day. I believe it’s my job as your celebrant to make your dreams of this perfect day come true. You will be excited about how we can make this day a day to remember and I am there to help ensure this happens
As an independent celebrant I have no legal systems to hamper what I can offer to you, so you can host your wedding wherever you want and however you want. Your ceremony can be inside or outside. You can be in a beautiful white wedding gown and morning suits, or you can be in your favourite punk rocker outfit – I’ll be there.
Want to include a symbolic ritual as well? No problem, you’ll be able to choose one such as hand fasting, a unity candle or a sand ceremony – we can arrange it together.

Naming Ceremonies
I am an independent celebrant and people are my passion. Babies, children, adults, everyone is important to me. A naming ceremony is not a religious event like a christening, but it is a lovely way of celebrating your loved one without going to church. You can tailor it around them.
This ceremony is a family day, a special day for a special person surrounded by those who love them. You can be young or slightly older – the day is yours. Bringing two families together? The day is yours. Adopting a child of any age is a wonderful event and the day is yours.
Your naming ceremony celebrates one special person and I would love to help you create that outstanding day for them. I’ll write your script for you to encompass everything you need to make the day unique.

I love weaving a story and want to be able to weave yours for you and your family. My role is to be there, to hold your hand and help you create that magical day full of memories. You will have fun.
Renewal of Vows
When you ask me to be your celebrant you become my priority and it is my job to create that magical day full of memories and love for you as a couple and your family and friends.
Renewing your vows is a special moment for you as a couple. You are declaring your continuing love for each other. You may want to celebrate a special anniversary or are perhaps looking for the wedding that you couldn’t quite reach all those years ago. You may want to celebrate with your family and those family members who weren’t around the first time. Whatever the reason, I want to be able to retell your story of togetherness from the moment you said ‘I do’ right up to the present day.
This time you have the opportunity of choosing where you want to share your love again, be it inside or out, in the woods or on the beach, perhaps have music that has come to mean something to both of you over time. We can weave into the day a symbolic ritual such as a unity candle or sand ceremony to bring together everyone in the family. The choices are wide and it will be my pleasure to help you design your special day.

With so much choice it can be confusing. That is where I come in to hold your hand and help you craft that individual and special day. To write your perfect ceremony and offer ideas to help make your day unique and memorable. We can make it a practically perfect day. You will have fun.
Funerals
When a loved one dies it is a life changing moment. You will want to honour their life in a respectful manner, but the funeral can also be a celebration of their wonderful life and beliefs. You will have to take many decisions at this time. From the initial phone call, discussing the order of service, music, readings through to the committal, I can work with you through it all. I will hold your hand and together we can create that special ceremony for your special person. Do you want a cremation, or burial? Are you having an internment or scattering of ashes? All of these can be thought about as we work together, so that when you say your goodbyes you will know you have given them the send off they wanted.

Mum’s Funeral
Sadly and following a short illness I lost my aging father and like so many before me I was new to this and found help and advice from ‘traditional’ sources a little underwhelming and unimaginative. A couple of years later Mum followed Dad and I remembered Lesley and we started talking. Well what a difference! I wasn’t being ‘rushed’; I felt I was being listened to; I felt there were other options. The whole process was more calming and so much less ‘dictatorial’. No one in the family wanted to help with a eulogy. Lesley helped me with mine. I was ‘prompted’ to think of special tear jerking moments that I would never have thought of by myself. It was still my eulogy but so much better than it might have been and with no repetition from Lesley on the day. Teamwork in a very difficult time.
Mum’s Funeral
Lesley recently officiated at the ceremony for my mum’s funeral. From the outset, she was organised, empathetic and helpful with ideas and thoughts, which enabled us to construct the service we wanted.
She sent regular email updates and organised really helpful zoom calls. Her past experience as a teacher meant she was practical when helping us involve our young grand children in the service.
Comments from our friends and family included ‘the Celebrant made the ceremony very personal to Norma. I found the service uplifting’. And ‘the Celebrant ensured the service went smoothly and her eulogy was extremely fitting for the occasion’.
Thank you making mum’s send off such a positive experience.
