Hi, I'm Sasha

With 5 years of experience, I offer bespoke and unique celebrancy services for weddings, reaffirmations, baby naming ceremonies, birthdays, retirement or anniversary celebrations, elopements, or specialist services to celebrate the life of a loved one who has passed which include funerals or memorials.

Experience, creativity and flexibility are attributes that I have to deliver the most memorable ceremony to you and your guests. I aim to capture the desired atmosphere at your celebration and tailor the ceremony according to what you have in mind to ensure you are comfortable during what can be a very nervy event. I have experience of offering a relaxed, light-hearted and vibrant ceremony, as well as being able to adapt to a more formal approach.

In addition to the ceremony, you have the option of including symbolic ceremonies such as the inclusion of handfasting or sand ceremonies, unity candles, personalised vows, ability to include religious or faith based content, pets and themed occasions.

I also offer sincere and personalised funeral ceremonies or memorial services to celebrate the life of a loved one.

While my home is in Berkshire, I am happy to travel to any venue or location; whether it be in the UK or abroad!

What's my ceremony style?

I offer a wide range of ceremonies to include the following.

-WEDDINGS:

I deliver much more than just a generic ceremony. You have complete freedom to personalise it to your wishes, so you may want to include a non-traditional component such as a hand-fasting or unity candles. You will always be presented with a written copy of your ceremony and given an additional keepsake of your special day. I’d be delighted to discuss any unique requirements.

-ELOPEMENTS:

Sometimes planning a full-scale wedding can be overwhelming, or perhaps you want to celebrate your union in an intimate ceremony involving just the two of you. You can be as imaginative as you wish, including your choice of location as it’ll just be for the two of you.

-REAFFIRMATIONS:

Vow renewals are becoming more popular. It’s never dull to celebrate again your love for one another, and it’s particularly ideal for those whose wedding was on a smaller scale than hoped due to unforeseen circumstances. Perhaps you can even combine vow renewals with another type of celebration as a surprise for your guests!

-NAMING CEREMONIES:

Naming ceremonies give families a non-religious celebration to affirm their commitment and love to a child, and, if you choose, affirming this in front of family and friends. It is a beautiful way of welcoming the birth of your baby, or cementing oneness and unity of family when embracing stepchildren, or as a celebration of adopting a child into your family.

-BIRTHDAY, RETIREMENT or ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS:

These celebrations need no introduction, yet hold great reason to commemorate your life and give an opportunity for guests to learn about you on a deeper level. They can even be merged with a wedding or reaffirmation ceremony if you wish to surprise your guests.

-MEMORIALS:

A personalised memorial ceremony does not have to take place at a crematorium or burial place, and may also take place at any time. This flexibility gives you great freedom to celebrate the life of your loved one wherever and whenever you feel it is needed. It will be particularly apt for those who could not attend funerals due to circumstances beyond their control.

-PET FAREWELLS:

Providing owners the opportunity for a formal goodbye which can be celebrated within meaningful surroundings.

Why choose Sasha?

I have been working for over 6 years experience as a Wedding Registrar, and I have loved being a part of each celebration. It is because of this that I now offer celebrant services that are independent from the legal services, in order to create more personalised and unique ceremonies and celebrations. I have enjoyed bringing something special to all the couples and families I have come across in this relatively short time, and want to do more to reflect the individuality of each couple.

Always professional, yet warm and approachable, I am a people person who is able to adapt to the needs of others. You can be reassured that I will always endeavour to help and support, and to reduce nerves during the ceremony.

My background is that I am a trained Occupational Therapist, which allows me to offer support and guidance should you or any of your guests have additional needs within the context of your event; such as mobility, sensory loss or mental health needs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, dabbling in art (silk and abstract painting), singing, baking, and community building.

Renewal Of Vows | 12/10/2022 | Our home

Daniel and I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping to make our very special day perfect! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Our ceremony was written so beautifully and all of our personal requests were delivered fully, with absolute professionalism. Our family still refer to the ceremony you wrote, as it encapsulated us and our family life so accurately – not to mention the laughter. Thanks for guiding us through the process; you really made it so simple. 100% recommended!
