I create and deliver completely unique, creative and inclusive non-religious ceremonies that are full of joy, warmth and that special something that is you.
A Humanist wedding or commitment ceremony gives you complete freedom to marry where you want, when you want, and how you want. You choose how you want it to be. It can be anything from simple and zen-like to dancing-on-ceiling-singing-your-heart-out wild.
Your wedding is one of the key moments in your life and it should be marked in a way that is meaningful, personal and fun!
Let’s make sure your ceremony is not the boring bit before the party, but actually is the kick-starter of the party!
What's my ceremony style?
I’m all about the fun, being creative and wholeheartedly embracing you and all that you are. I’m also a massive fan of this planet and If you want your wedding outdoors, I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and support (I’d be honoured to deliver a ceremony anywhere, though).
As a humanist, I value equality, freedom and tolerance the highest. If you want a wedding ceremony that celebrates this for you, I will make that happen.
When I am not doing celebrant work, I am probably writing, reading, swing dancing, swimming in the sea, hanging out with my family or friends or making some macrame in front of a good show/film.
I believe that we only have one life and I wholeheartedly believe that we should live our best life. I am passionate about making sure your special day reflects Your Best Life!

A ceremony by me gives you the freedom to personalise completely, from the way you enter to the way you say your vows. You could be strutting or dancing down the aisle to your favourite song or create your own ‘words of vow’ made up of your favourite song lyrics. It’s all about the vibes. I bring the humanist vibes of freedom, equality and meaning. I bring all the good vibes. The loooove. You will also be able to trust me – with your love story, your process, your ideas and, most importantly, with delivering the Best Wedding Ceremony Ever.

If you are a life-loving, non-religious couple looking for a super personal and fun ceremony – then you are my people!
I welcome any couple with open arms and smiles – I strongly believe that LOVE IS LOVE and that anyone should be able to have the full show of a ceremony, no matter who you are, where you are from and what you believe in (except, I don’t perform religious rituals, but you are welcome to include your own small element of faith yourself).
I respectfully decline to any releasing of balloons, lanterns or animals, as I value our planet and the animal kingdom.

I will take these details, look after them and create a magical story and ceremony just for you. Your own precious wedding ceremony will be delivered with joy, warmth and whatever vibe you bring.

A wonderful celebrant – wholeheartedly recommend!
Aaah, we couldn’t praise Gitte highly enough! She’s a warm and wonderful person – the best starting point. She’s also a brilliant, sensitive celebrant.
With Gitte we got a ceremony that reflected us rather than follow convention for the sake of it. Gitte guided us by suggesting different elements that we would never have thought of ourselves, and gave us space to choose and adapt. We went for a “ring warming”, an inclusive ritual infused with the love of all our friends and family present. Ask Gitte if you’re intrigued!
The story Gitte told of us as a couple was joyous but not sentimental, with just the right amount of humour and drama. It was properly entertaining, and very “us”! Although we worked with Gitte on the script there were some lovely surprise elements. The whole ceremony was well structured, so we always felt in safe hands, but at the same time was relaxed and celebratory.
A family member commented that “usually at weddings you’re waiting for the service to end before the fun part begins, but with your wedding the service was part of the fun too.” High praise!
We are hugely grateful to Gitte for creating such a special occasion for us and recommend her wholeheartedly.
