Now that we have had chance to regroup a little after the emotion and upheaval of the last couple of weeks, we wanted to let you know just how VERY much we appreciated the way in which you led the Service to commemorate Kathleen’s life, through to her committal. Everyone we spoke to outside the Chapel and then at the reception afterwards expressed their appreciation of the Service and the way in which it was conducted. You struck all the right chords and left everyone feeling that they had attended something not only very relevant but also a tribute that we could share in giving Kathleen a loving and very respectful farewell. For those of us most affected by the sense of personal loss, we were able to reconcile much of this through your words, reassurances and the sensitive way in which you spoke not only of Kathleen but of the ways in which we will remember her. Thank you for all of this and for the tremendous support that you gave to Christine and myself from the moment we first met until we parted at the Crematorium. It has meant a great deal to both of us.I hope we might meet again, hopefully in happier circumstances
