Hi, I'm Andi
Hi. I am Andi Barker, a nature lover, and spiritual empath living in the beautiful Isle of Man.
For the last few years, I have spent many hours supporting and assisting men women, and children worldwide to improve their health and wellbeing naturally so they can live the life they desire.
In 2023, I studied and graduated as a Funeral Celebrant with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy followed by the Naming Celebrant and Wedding Celebrant Certificates. This complements my existing work and blends to support you in your relationships, celebrating special milestones, and magical moments in life along with bidding farewell in a personal and dignified way.
My compassion, intuition, and experience gained through my work along with volunteering as a Cruse Bereavement Care Officer, and 30 years in customer-facing services have given me the insight and foundations to support you and your family every step of the way to celebrate your life your way.
What's my ceremony style?
I love love love nature, flowers, plants, animals, beaches, fields, hills and lots of colour too.
And on the Isle of Man, we have historical and magical castles, abbeys, forts, country houses, landmarks, and beautiful buildings which would be perfect for your celebration.
My ethos is to celebrate your life your way and, I believe everyone has the right to do what they feel is right for them where and when they choose.
Whether it is being covered in tattoos and piercings to hide your shyness,
stepping out of the closet in a pink sparkly gown fit for a queen, or just living out a dream or theme I am here for you.
My years of supporting quirky, unique, and vibrant souls with confidence building, self-esteem, and communicating their truth will empower you to get through the toughest days of your grief to welcome new life and celebrate your love for each other.

I love seeing the twinkle in an eye and happy tears when someone is realising their dream or seeing a loved one’s life being respected as they wished.
My kind caring and compassionate nature with a listening ear and intuitive understanding, assists me, in bringing a sense of calm and empathy when meeting you, making arrangements, and officiating your ceremony.
To assist you in creating your ceremony, I have created a network of suppliers and now have a list of over 30 different unique and magical venues on the Isle of Man,
both inside and outside, including more locations within a government-licensed venue than a registrar can officiate in.

Weddings
It makes my heart sing to support quirky unique and vibrant nature-loving couples who like something a little or a lot different. They know what they like and want to celebrate who they are rather than conforming to family / social expectations.
From cerise tulle and a queen tiara in Castle Rushen, boho chic in Groudle Glen, or a festival vibe in a field. It does not matter who you are or what you are, as long as you are celebrating you and rocking your energy I am here for you.
A lifelong friend of the LGBTQIA+ community supporting personal friends scared to come out of the closet way back in the late 80s to supporting Pride events and the rainbow-loving tribe through my wellbeing work and socially.

It’s your day – I will only have one ceremony booking for your chosen day, giving you complete freedom to choose the timing of your wedding.
Personal to You – This is your day, so let’s do it your way, with vows, and commitments, to reflect who you are, I will get to know both of you and craft a script, which is unique, and exclusive to you.
After all, you are not the copy-and-paste version of another couple, so why would you want to be restricted in your words, timings, and, format?

Naming Ceremonies
Holding a Naming Ceremony provides a unique opportunity to celebrate and welcome a new life into your family, be it a birth or adoption. It can also be a time to celebrate when you have chosen to change your name by deed poll, gender reassignment, or divorce

A Breathe of New Life I understand the importance of celebrating a new life or a new beginning, whether it be through a new baby, a birth, or an adoption. I will focus on providing a unique and meaningful experience to create welcome new energy and new beginnings into your life. and will strive to make sure that your event is special and memorable.
Renaming & Gender Reassignment – As a compassionate and intuitive Celebrant, I understand the importance of this process in your journey and of the LGBTQIA+ community. I celebrate your courage and bravery to choose to rename and re-assign your gender.
Blending Families – Blending Families can be a difficult time for all parties, so holding a family naming ceremony can help families come together and change their names. I will create a unique and personalised ceremony to make sure your new family is welcomed and celebrated in the most meaningful way.

I can guide you on a wide range of indoor and outdoor venues, and ceremonial elements such as tree planting to make your special day one to remember.

Renewal of Vows
Why wait until your 25th / 50th Wedding Anniversary to celebrate the love story you have created together?
In your Vow Renewal Ceremony, you can celebrate the journey so far. Maybe one of you has recently overcome an illness or there have been many bumps in the road on your adventures through life together
You may choose a small intimate celebration with your family and a few friends or you may blow the budget and go to town.
Whatever you choose, a celebrant-led ceremony can be held wherever and whenever you choose without any restrictions. Of course, there are no legalities to complete this time so you can focus on the fun bit.
​We can include elements such as a sand ceremony and include your children and grandchildren. You can write your vows and include sentiment, love, and humour in your wording and I will assist you as much as you need

Why choose Andi for your renewal of vows?
I’m just an old romantic and there is nothing more heartwarming than witnessing a couple celebrate their love for each other. The journey they have shared through thick and thin medium sliced and crusty cob.
If you have been together 5 years or 50 years it does not matter. I am here to assist you in creating the day you might not have had the first time around. This time you can choose where when and what you do.
With over 30 years of meeting customers’ and client’s needs by listening to them and understanding what their desires are, I can curate a Vow Renewal Ceremony to reflect you.
Funerals
More families are now choosing a simple direct cremation or burial and arranging a Celebration of Life ( with a scattering of Ashes) for a later date when family and friends can make plans to attend and celebrate their loved one’s life together.
This way it gives the family time to consider their wishes, if they had left any or to think about what he or she would have liked.
Some families like to go with the traditional service at the Crematorium, graveside, or other venue conducted by the Funeral Directors and a Celebrant followed by the wake or celebration of life on the same day or shortly after.
I can guide you through the myriad of options so you can make an educated and meaningful decision
You can request me via any of the Isle of Man-based Funeral Directors or you can book me directly to create all or part of the funeral service and support you.
Cremation Burial and Committal Service
You can book me directly or request my services via the Funeral Director or Direct Cremation company.
I will meet you and your family to learn about your loved one and create a dignified ceremony to reflect them. We can include their favourite songs, poems, or readings a theme or colour such as their favourite football team colours.
Scattering of Ashes, End-of-Life Celebrations and Memorials-
I understand that no two people are the same and I will work with you to create a service that reflects your loved one’s quirks, unique qualities, and lifestyle. From a small intimate gathering to a biker-themed rally, the venue, dress code, and format are limitless.
The ceremony can include readings, poems, songs, music, or other elements in a place of your choice from a chapel to a woodland, beach, or hotel.

I understand that this is a difficult time, and I am here, to support you through the process of organising a meaningful, personalised, and dignified funeral service. tailored to your wishes.
Over the years I have volunteered as a Cruse Bereavement Support officer providing a listening ear, assistance, and a light to guide them through the darkest days as they process their loss from accidents, illness and suicide.
I have also worked with many well-being clients with anticipated grief, terminal diagnoses, sudden death, and bereavement.
My compassion and caring nature will be there to walk with you each step of the way from the day you contact me.
