Hi, I'm Janet
After 40 years of working in the NHS in caring roles, management and education / training I decided too use my skills and experiences in a different way, so I trained with the Fellowship of professional celebrants to enable me to plan, write and deliver tailor made ceremonies for families and individuals.
I am used to working with families from the cradle to the grave, especially during the important times of their lives. I am now weaving clients stories into a truly personalised and unique ceremony for them at a significant time in their lives – a true celebration, I especially like to work with diversity, cultural histories and tradition excite me when creating a ceremony.

I offer differing types of ceremonies – eg rose, sand, unity candle, jump the broom, handfasting, tie the knot
I can include cultural elements to reflect differing cultures coming together, ceremonies which are blending families, I can also include elements of faith.

Combined wedding and naming ceremony
My favourite moment was writing a wedding ceremony and incorporating a naming ceremony, non of the guests knew, only the parents, the look on the grandparents faces and the guide parents faces was so lovely, lots of tears and laughter, the parents made vows to their child as well as each other. It was a truly memorable ceremony.

We have received so many compliments from our guests on Janet and with good reason. Janet was fantastic and made us all feel at ease. Janet created a ceremony that was personal, intimate and reflective of our relationship. We would recommend Janet to anyone looking for a celebrant in the North East.
Our Special Day
Janet Glenwright was a pure pleasure!
We where recommended her through the castle and she did not disappoint.
We met a few month prior to our renewal for an informal chat to discus arrangements and what we would like included. Janet listened and took notes, she was extremely kind and professional.
Janet is a great communicator she sent us really good ideas for our vows and if we had any thoughts or ideas she was only an email away.
On the Day Janet looked beautiful and took the small service with elegance, and put everyone at ease.
She honestly felt like one of the family. We could not recommend her highly enough!!

Wedding Ceremony
We had Janet do our wedding ceremony and she was fantastic and listened to exactly what we wanted. We only had 4 weeks to plan a wedding which was stressful but Janet sorted this side no problem for us. We asked for short and sweet which we got and she also got our 4year old daughter involved which made her feel special too. I would recommend Janet to anyone
